Agree with the post. However, no one is catching Ponga over 50m. Legitimately no one lol. The bro is as explosive as they come, it's why he gets through the line so effortlessly.
Looking at the team pic on the beach in the other thread Ponga looks pretty lean which I’m pleased about. He bulked up a bit for the aborted stint at 6 which took away some of his explosive pace and ability to step defenders. It’s marginal gains but I reckon he’ll be absolutely flying this season.

If someone fast is at 6 (Sharpe or Pryce) it will create more space for Ponga when they go out the back to him. So if its all done properly we could see the best of Kayln Ponga in 2025.

He is at his biological peak, experienced and focused. If we can get it right around him we could see him have a career defining season, 09' Hayne spec. We're in for one of those if we can get it right for him.

I’d love to take Kalyn to his biological peak 🥵

To be honest if I were Sullivan, I would be getting rid of braily, Hastings and do everything I could to get brown and fogerty.

If reported amounts are correct, wouldn't be like for like, but I think we are straight away in our premiership window.

With ponga coming off in 27, I think it's now or never.

Hastings $800k
Brailey $600k

Brown $1-1.1m
Fogerty $500k

Maybe make a play for Oregon kaufusi and fingers crossed out juniors come good to make play for premiership next year

No to Fogarty, especially not if it’s for real money. Next time you watch him play, don’t focus on the big boot. Watch his ball playing. Watch the degree to which he’s engaging the line, watch the shape the Raiders (or the Titans when he was there) are in in the attacking 20, look at the kind of space his outside men operate with. Then tell me you still think he’s way, way better than guys like Cogger & Gamble. I really don’t think he is.

I don’t think he’s an O’Sullivan type signing anyway, but he’s really simply not that good in my opinion. Way more comfortable taking the bet on someone with real difference making talent like Brown figuring things out.

I know the Raiders win more with Fog in the team, but there’s a reason he’s clearly being treated as a placeholder until their talented young prospect is ready. That’s his level. If Brown doesn’t pan out as a 7, AOB wants to move him back to 6, and then bring in a do-a-job #7 to play with him besides Cogger, Fogarty will probably still be gettable at that time.

If we manage to sign Brown, there won't be another halves signing.

We'll have enough in the potential of Sharpe, the guarantee of Cogger and Crossy and Gamble and development of Linnane, Loza, Sutton.

Could see an eventual pick up of junior 7 looking to break in like Pulu from Sharks and or Tia from Dogs

Speaking of Brailey, looks like all the media talk about that was wrong as well. Never made sense. Actually most of the guys Foxsports and Buzz said there would be a 'cleanout' and never really happened. Elliot was mentioned I believe, same as Hastings and Hetherington after Baz debunked it and said he was staying. Looking at Chammas too who has a terrible track record.
Only lost Saifiti and Leo as the main ones which is the usual turnover you see at most clubs lol

*Gus Gould trigger warning*
Gus did keep saying he thinks we are about to come into the Ponga era so just maybe he gets another thing right
Meh everyone has called that. Does not that a big league brain see how he has come along in the last 5 years.
