That was the first GF I ever watched! I was over on an exchange at UTS and playing football (soccer) for the Uni team. We played a tournament somewhere and then got smashed watching the game. Being a football fan I remember saying how weird it was that this end of season play off thing happened as I was used to whoever won the league was the champ.

I just hope Kalyn continues to be himself like Justin says, don’t be nervous, everyone’s watching you and be cool, he seemed calm despite getting the job done, even humbly admitted ‘he got lucky’ when he smashed Leota. Just hope he enjoys the week the way the 2001 team did without the pressure, we know he wants one.

I’m too hyped up to sleep, even though its 1:30am in NZ.
Don’t think you could find a Grand Final between two sides with two more contrasting finals campaigns. We’ve been in certainly two very intense battles, and played every week. Roosters have had a first week walkover, and rest and then a GF qualifier that they ran away with pretty easily in the end. And not forgetting the Roosters also rested a lot of players in the final round.
Roosters should have plenty of petrol in the tank, but we should be extremely battle hardened. Not sure which will work out best, but if it gets down to a nail biter, it might just favour us.
