Shout out to my great mate Dave Martin from Wallsend. He’s in JH hospital, two badly broken legs from that unlicensed lunatic yesterday.
Dave actually saved his grandkids from being hit, and took the brunt of the impact. After 9 hours in surgery he’s no longer critical, but has a long road to recovery ahead.
Dave is a barber but will be unable to work for a long time. There is a go fund me page if anyone would like to donate. It would be great if the Knights or NRL can donate things for him to auction to cover medical bills and his inability to work.
