I mean he is going to be better than KP so yes he would but unlike Ponga he is a North Queenslander through and through. Not one that jumps around to the highest bidder :p
We’ll see. After a few more years of failure in FNQ, he might want to play for a competitive team. 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe set your sights on him catching up to the teenage version of Kalyn first before you insist he’s gonna be better than the present or future Kalyn…

I’d say failure is getting 3 spoons in a row. We have yet to reach those depths like some teams.

You must be getting old - you live in the past too much. We have made the eight in the last 2 years now.

And the Cowgirls this year: 7 wins, 17 losses, - 288 for and against, finishing 15th 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The usual suspect the first to bite

The Hammer has dominated youth groups as much if not more than what KP did and has already shown his class in FG at fullback. Injuries have slowed him up this year.

In all seriousness KP has plateaued and not gone on these past 18 months. I thought he would be the best player in the comp by now and said as such when you signed him.

Now you can’t even say he is in the top 3 fullbacks let alone players in the comp.

Yet we still managed to get one over you guys again and we are a bad team.

While you guys were winning spoons we were going to prelims and GF’s winning one.

Let’s see if the Knights actually make any meaningful finals campaign and not be one and done again.

We are just making up the numbers in the 8 this year. We are trying to build towards a future premiership.

We have won 2 premierships without the backing of Uncle Rupert.

I’m beginning to think KP is going backwards, tbh. His running and stepping game seems nonexistent these days, and his passing is way off the mark. Defence has always been dodgy.

These things were fine pre-origin though, so I wonder if he’s playing injured.

I thought the same thing. He is no where near his best at present.

Sure, obviously Tommy T & Teddy are ahead of him, and you can make a case for Latrell Mitchell at #3. But you can’t say the Hammer is in the top 10 fullbacks in the comp. So, you know. Levels.

On injuries, Kalyn literally didn’t get a pre-season and got an adductor strain a bit after he came back which, I don’t know if you know much about sports science, but there is no way he’s playing at 100% for the rest of the year after incurring that. Has also clearly struggled with a sternum injury. I’m sure Kalyn doesn’t get the excuse the Hammer does though. 🤷‍♂️

Cowboys aren’t backed by uncle Rupert. Been separated a long long time and one of only a handful of clubs that are financially stable right now. I believe it’s just the Broncos and the Storm under his tentacles now.

Latrell easily this year, Paps if not for injuries easily as well, Hynes too this year. Ponga has slipped.

Hammer is also 2.5 years younger so you’d expect Ponga to be more advanced. Hammer in 3 seasons time is going to be a scary proposition for other teams.

Nope he has valid injury concerns too but last I checked 18 months (my original statement) is longer than a year is it not.

I think he has gotten comfortable in the lifestyle. Losing his best mate next year might be a trigger he needs. I still can’t believe how badly he handled that interview on Brown’s sacking. That would raise massive question marks to me if he was still a Cowboy.

The talent is there no doubting that. Is the fire there like it is for Turbo who seems to just come back better every time after a hammy injury. That’s where I’m unsure.

Look what I found!
