Tevita Pangai Jnr

Comments from TPJ

“I looked at the Newcastle set-up but it was a curiosity thing,” he said.

“I am from Newcastle and my best mates are there, so naturally I was keen to look at their set-up.

“They are going to be a strong club in the next few years so they were attractive, but I feel like I can play my best football at the Broncos.”

Fair enough. Move on to the next one.

Promising response though, means we'll be back with a shot next time he wants to test the market.

I notice Mosese Pangai is still listed as a 191cm, 111kg centre/wing on the Brisbane site.
Surely it's worth giving him at least a preseason bulking up and training for the forwards.
All the Pangai brother are built just like Tevita, and for some reason all three of his brothers think they are wingers.
You'd have to think that them all earning 50k a year and him earning 800k a year would make them rethink their career choices.

Mosese can’t tackle. Best off keeping him out on the wing and have him in the Oates type role as an extra forward on the field with returning of the ball.

Well reports are suggesting a bennett /seibold coach swap for 2019. Channel 7 reporting it now

You'd think there's no way Souths could squeeze him in under their cap without letting someone else go, not to mention they probably have one of the strongest prop rotations in the comp already.

Wayne signed with the Bunnies from 2020 onwards and Seybold with Brisbane, but the swap is expected to happen for for next year.
Also expected to happen is Maguire to coach Tigers and Cleary off to Penrith for 2019.

Let the player movements begin .

I hope there is some movement. All of the coaches moving are quality (Bennett, Siebold, Cleary and Maguire), so I wouldn’t be surprised if players aren’t too concerned if those coaches are coming in to whichever club.

Here we go ..When coaches move so do players ...Either the coach the player signed under to play is going or he doesn't want to play under the new coach , or the new coach has ideas on his new roster and some players don't fit or he may bring some players with him.
We could be lucky and this could cause a player merry go round lol.

At this point bennett is saying his not moving till 2020. i think both clubs are still working on a deal for 2019. dont make much sense to have either on for an extra yr.

Surely neither could turn up even for day 1 at their preseasons for their current clubs.
