Tevita Pangai Jnr

If the Roosters want him and are willing to offload Napa for him they must be pretty sure he's worth the coin, which is a good enough endorsement for me

Ponga turning out to be a once in a lifetime signing proves that all our signings will be wonderful.

Some people forget that there is a big talent pool out there and not all of them with unlimited potential make it all the way let alone rack up more than 25 NRL games .

TPJ is an aggressive beast. He would be perfect for us, and could hopefully stir some fire in our other young props. That said, we have a great Flegg side at the moment with a batch of good, young forwards. Although they're some ways away now, I'm sure Brownie (and now Canavan) are considering how much TPJ is worth to us now, and how to keep as many of our younger forwards as possible in light of cap constraints which will come with offering TPJ $800k/year. Personally, I don't think he is worth that though.

We don't know what Canavan's role is.
No one has said - apart from "director of football".
He could have his fingers into everything, or might just be a hands off manager.

TPJ has all the talent in the world but he’ll either go one of 2 ways:
-Be one of the best forwards in the game for the next 10
-Show glimpses but never realise his potential ala Dave Taylor
Neither would surprise me to be honest.

Mozz, that is why for $800K he is too big a gamble

Hard to judge Saulo on this year.
He injured his leg in pre season and right till the end of the year he was hobbling around like an 80 year old when you saw him walking around.
Having said that, TPJ has ball skills as well as being a powerful unit, and Saulo is just a big battering ram.

I wonder what is going through TPJ's mind now that Bennett won't be there after next year. Brisbane are in decline, we are on the rise, local boy, lucrative offer.

Perfect time to change team really, if he is ever going to.

Think Bennett still has 2019 to go and if TPJ is serious about sticking with him then should sign a 1 year deal then move with Bennett but financially and career wise would be best to sign elsewhere, Newcastle would be good
