Tevita Pangai Jnr

Seeing Sione and TPJ standing together in front of all their family and friends in the stands after the Broncos game reminded me of when they played under 16s and half the Polynesian population of Newcastle went to watch them.
I thought he might sign for us after that, and for 600k he would have been a good pickup.
I see he has moved back to his junior position of second row, which probably suits him because he doesn't love doing the hard yards stuff.
I'd love to see TPJ and Sione dominating one side of the field again. Those were good times.

No. Lazy. Think I've seen him wind up once this year. Always suspended for doing dumb stuff. Thinks he can do what he did in juniors, run over people and score. Doesn't have a hard working bone in him.

Fair call. I think Obi could get some good footy out of him but yeah, he’s all potential but not much delivery this season.

The only time Pangai likes to turn up is against the Cowboys where he likes to put on some attempted big boy dog shots on Taumalolo.

He’d look good running off the back of the Saifiti’s and Klemmer work through the middle.

Certainly wouldn’t be spending much on him though. Inconsistent and gets suspended a lot.

Id like to see what OBi could do with TPJ , he hasnt been playing great but he isnt the only one up there . A toxic environment stuffs a lot of players games . Could be interseting to see how he goes especially beside Klem and Dsaf.

Pass. Sure the team has been going poor, but he has gone missing when he should be ripping in to try and turn momentum like lodge does.

He would want too much anyway.

Hasn't he stuffed us around last two times his been off contract? Based on that alone he should get the cold shoulder.

Wouldn't mind trying to sign Max King from Storm. Former Knights junior who can't get a run down there. Would be good at lock for us with Herman and Glasby gone next year.

TPJ is available. Going to have his contract torn up. Not saying if I would or wouldn't go after him, but in the right environment for price, I think he could still be a gun one day.

For sure. Nathan Brown (Eels player, not Browny the coach) was sacked by Tigers and Bunnies from memory, and he's now matured and playing out of his skin at the Eels. I think TPJ will be a weapon, just not sure if we are the right club for him. He does have a lot of ties to Newcastle but not sure who is able to get the best out of him.

There's an incredible footballer in there somewhere. A new coach might help but primarily I think the problem lies with him. I would offer him the money Glasby's medical retirement frees up.
