The Danny situation has died down a little bit which is a shame because he need him! Would be pretty sad if he couldn't have one last season in Newy.

With Stig not being much of a major player in the team especially with Gids being a playmaker at fullback I'm warming to idea of a Gids/Mullen halves combo. Probs not Stig on the bench IMO it is a bench spot wasted, but it wouldn't be a ridiculous idea.

You don't have to worry in my opinion. I'd be very surprised if we didn't get him.
So true ay. Money talks n weve got plenty of it. Not to mention the circumstances are in our favour even without cash, clearly danny wants to be home

If we don't get Buderus we should feel a bit worried, our depth in the dummy half position is very thin even with him.

This is the team id like to see next year

1. Darius Boyd
2. Aku Uate
3. Timana Tahu (Likiliki or Wes while he is injured)
4. Junior Sau
5. James McManus
6. Kurt Gidley (C) (Bennett will sort his crabing runs out  )
7. Jarod Mullen
8. Kade Snowden
9. Danny Buderus..?
10. Neville Costigan
11. Chris Houston
12. Zeb Taia
13. Joel Edwards

14. Richie Fa'aoso
15. Matt Hilder
16. Wes Naiqama
17. Zane Tetevano

* Might get some hate but.....If Danny cant get a release id really like to see Shaun Berrigan in red and blue, the guy is a WINNER (think he is still off unsigned over the ditch..?)
* If Boyd plays does play fullback would like to see Aku switch to the right side

Im doing my side solely based only off who we have signed on for the 2012 roster atm

1. Darius Boyd
2. James McManus
3. Junior Sau
4. Wes Naquiama
5. Akuila Uate
6. Jarrod Mullen
7. Ryan Stig
8. Kade Snowden
9. Kurt Gidley (C)
10. Neville Costigan
11. Chris Houston
12. Zeb Taia
13. Joel Edwards

14. Ritchie Fa'aoso
15. Evarn Tuimavave
16. Matt Hilder
17. Zane Tetevano

- 12 and 13 could possibly been swapped around. Edwards does a good job in the backrow
and Brian's plan for Taia was to be a wide running Lock
- First choice Winger/fullback IMO is Mata'utia to cover for injury/suspension/origin
- First choice Centre is Tahu, 2nd I imagine is McKinnon
- Getting rid of scrubs has made this easier, at the same time have a bit of less depth
which Im sure will be made up of talented NSW/NYC Cup players

Added after 4 minutes:

Also based off our off-contract rostered players, I'd like to see Fa'aoso and Edwards priority signings. And Houston to active the 3rd year clause. Then Tuimavave and Taia (if he feels fine). Then re-signing Rochow, Kev, ODonnell etc if they are doing well and we have the room.
Oh and re-signing Uate for 5 years at the end of this season :dancing:

Love it!!

Whats the difference in our hooking depth from Degois being there to Danny being there if we dont get him i understand but if we do get him its the same as Degois being here .

I think he means as in like specialist hookers? Do we have any young hookers coming through NYC or even NSW cup?

What I mean is that there is not many dummy half's at the club that seem ready for FG. With Buderus being the age he is and coming back from ESL or if we decide to play Gids in the 9 who has a baddish run with injuries lately it would be a good idea to buy a cheap FG able hooker just for 'insurance'.

It'll be the same depth as this year, Gidley is a whole lot less injury prone than De Gois (he's only missed a couple of games all year from a hamstring strain, hasn't he?) and Hilder's a good back-up. Apart from them - give a local junior a go!

I think he had a back injury at the start of the year. Missed the Cowboys and Manly game from memory. Depth is no issue when it comes to hooker with Adams,Redman and Knight all available if required.

On a side Note this was my 500th post :)

Did his shoulder too. Had a few weeks off with that as well I think

They are both pretty injury prone, but its because they both play the game at 100miles an hour, and have little self preservation. Im suprised Aku has remained so healthy the last 2 years the way he plays (*touch wood*).

Anyone know the situation with Rein and King at the Dragons, they have them two + Fein and Young who can play hooker, so Bennett may fall back on one, if not he might have plans with our junior hookers, to utilise them in a similar way.

Mustn't forget Chris Marlborough from NSW Cup either. He is way more ready for first-grade than Redman & Knight. Then you've also got Adam Clydesdale from our SG Ball winning team. We have plenty of junior depth. Adams & Marlborough/Redman i reckon will be used the same as Rein & King for the Dragons.

Why does everyone keep puttingTahu in they,re side .Wes was at the top of his game before he got injured to the point where he was being touted as the form centre in the comp . When was the last time tahu was at the top of his game when was the last time he could even get his head around a game . He should have to fight for a spot not just walk into 1st grade . Besides all that i think bennett promised it to wes other wise why did he resign when he wasnt sure where he was going to play and Saints promised him the fullback spot we have to have promised him something imo.

Because Tinkler wants a 90% local knights side or near there. So imo Tahu will be in the 17 somewhere and i think it will be centre

Spose it depends what version of Timana turns up next year, IMO both will be in the 17 but Wes offers more utility value than Tahu

and what did they offer him..? a chance to play on a contender under the coaching of wayne bennett
