Snowden suspended for 2 matches leaves Bennett fuming

I'm sure if Billy Slater did the same thing he would of been let off....I mean he got let off for kicking a guy in the face.

I hate how they slow things down so much, in normal speed he braces himself as he is running and his knee lifts but at end of day his head got in the wrong position and wasn't much kade could do, it's an impact sport. If they slowed down the game every week they would find multiple issues like this.

How else do you run? Christ he gets pinned once due to a terrible tackling technique and all of a sudden he needs to change his technique?

Write something useful Toohey!

He is literally getting punished because Docker put his face into Snowden's knee.

Snowden didn't bloody pull a UFC move and get his knee above head height...IT WAS RIGHT THERE ARE KNEE LEVEL.

he lifted but only slightly... not much in it really but if he fights it they will prolly suspend him for the rest of the season they hate us!

The knee was raised but there was certainly no intent or malice there...

As far as I know (I may be wrong) Kade has never been in trouble for raising his knee/s before so I don't think he needs to change his running style...

Yep, Cleary's exaggeration has cost Snowden 2 games and he bags Rochow for staying down after 2 high shots. Sore loser!

You lot are kidding yourself if you think the match reviewers go off the coaches comments!

I like to think Buderus is smart enough to not tackle with his head.

Seems we won't be challenging the ruling, team announced and no talk of Snowden playing

Not saying 100% but yeah if you watched the press conference that was the WHOLE press conference, I'm sure an injury makes a suspension look more likely look at smith, he did a very similar tackle but no injury and no suspension!

Cleary was blowing up saying Rochow stayed down and that Docker had a fracture, that was his whole press conference the injury to Docker was pretty much all he wanted to talk about, and the match review *****s hate us sooooo much!

I in no way do not think he didn't deserve to be cited for it, he did raise his knee, I just don't think it was that bad!

And yeah"Teflon Billy" would get away with anything

If JWH did exactly the same thing to Buderus on Sunday this place would melt down.

Funny you mention Buderus, coz he tackles in exactly the same manner. If this guy has an awful tackling technique then so does Buderus.

If they charged people going by how much the coach blew up in the press conference after, then whoever was the third man in on McKinnon (forget who it was) would have got a few weeks.

As for injury playing a part - grey area, I agree sometimes it seems to, but sometimes it doesn't.

I don't think Docker has a poor tackling technique, just on that instance he put himself in an awful position and that happens.. No doubt Snowden raised his knee but he was bracing himself for impact, I reckon players would brace themselves like that every single time if they saw a player flying into their knees, on this instance it went bad unfortunately.

It's common sense that the injury influences the charge grading, a high tackle that causes no injury is going to get less weeks than the exact same high tackle but causes the player to miss 10 weeks. With Cleary blowing up about Docker having a fractured cheekbone and will be out of the side for weeks and then that being spread all over the media that Snowden fractured Docker's face, you'd have to be kidding to think that the match review committee didn't pay attention to that.

It should've been a penalty and a grade 1 if anything, I'm sure it was only a grade 2 because the MRC were told it caused a fractured cheekbone when really there's nothing wrong with the guy. But it's done now so moving on.

That's why I used him as an example :-)
Docker has great technique, if Snowden keeps his knee down he gets cut in half.

Docker's technique is awesome. He and Plum were becoming the bruise brothers down there at the foot of the mountains. Was great watching the Panthers just to see them continually smash people with great hits. Them 2 got Panthers on a roll imo.
