Snowden suspended for 2 matches leaves Bennett fuming

Faces 2 - 3 weeks out.

Definitely raised his knee... Don't think the club will challenge. Will be a huge loss against Roosters.

Ah damn we just can't get our full strength forward pack on the park that often can we. Huge loss.

At first I didn't have a problem with it but after watching the replay I admit that I was wrong...

Massive loss for us, He has been our best forward all year :(

Cuthbertson didn't have a very good game in reserves this week, but hopefully he just needed the run and will be ready to step up next week.

Considering Docker ended up with a broken cheekbone, I think we're pretty lucky Snowden's only out for two weeks. If that was a Knight who was injured because of a knee lifting like that, I'd consider that a pretty light suspension.

Meh, horrible tackling technique. If you're going to tackle with your head in the wrong place you'll get injured more often then not.

Massive loss, his been are best forward all year. Huge loss for the Rosters game.

Sorry I meant "our best"

Unbelievable, it's going to make it even more of a challenge next weekend.

Hopefully the forwards fire up now, we won't get Snowden's workrate from them but if they can step up and be extra aggressive hopefully that'll be enough to help win the battle.

Does anyone have a link to the footage. We can't win without snowden, **** im dirty, especially since we will lose him for the broncs game also

I think Snowden can build a case on Docker's head being in a poor position. I'd fight it.

His knee definitely lifted and it didn't look good ... but I don't think it was intentional.

Its not intentional iv just watched the replay a bunch of times. Docker fell off him and kept trippin him up as another 2 penrith players pushed him down. Hes got a good case and shoulf fight it

I played for the same junior club as Docker, and was in the year above.. he use to train in our grade quite a bit, and he would have to have the best tackling technique I have ever seen. Even in the U/9s he was cutting kids in half, so much so parents would regularly complain, and he'd end up playing in our age group.

Just like many other great tacklers, like Dallas Johnson, Shaun Fensom, Matt Hilder etc. eventually things will go wrong, nothing wrong with his technique though.

It looked like Snowden was bracing himself for impact because Docker was in a stupid position around his knees, clearly accidental. Though we know what happens when we try to fight an accident, Jeremy Smith will tell you if you forget.

Oh look, Leilua had a serious head knock, and was taken to hospital after an elbow to the face, don't see anything about him being taken high. It's ridiculous the ruling these days, you get all this protection, but it doesn't work both ways (shoulder charge banned for defenders, and yet they are allowed to use it attacking, tackled in mid air for attackers, and yet you're allowed to tackle an attacking player in the air (McManus in origin))

We would have to be one of the few cases where an attacking player has been suspended for a high shot, even despite the fact that he was at basically knee level.

Farrk! Snowden has been our best player of the year behing Mullen. Hopefully this doesn't affect the boys but sucks though.

Newcastle Knights prop Kade Snowden running into big problem

KADE Snowden may be forced to modify his running action after Penrith backrower Adam Docker fractured a cheekbone on Sunday.

The Newcastle prop admitted Monday he naturally lifts his legs higher when he runs.

Snowden said he felt sorry for Docker but said there was no malice in the knee lifting incident that could cost the in-form Knights prop a three-match suspension including Sunday's blockbuster against the Sydney Roosters.

Docker fractured his cheekbone just three minutes into Sunday's game after coming off second best in a collision with Snowden's knee as he attempted to make a tackle.

The incident wasn't picked up at the time by referees Ashley Klein or Adam Devcich but replays suggested Snowden had lifted his knee as the defence converged.
