Sione vs Chanel

I think it's fair to say that Chanel deserves more of a go than his younger brother. Sione has had a free passage and managed to do ZERO with it.

Sione should go back to the wing before we starting calling for him to go back to NSW Cup. He was fine there last year. Despite how tremendous Gagai has been for us, his defence is still questionable and that is no doubt down to having to adjust to the centre position. I'm willing to persistent with Sione regardless; Mamo and Levi are going to be playing two critical positions and neither are going to reach their best in them all of a sudden. Showing that same patience with Sione is only fair. McManus may not have the speed but he's a solid defender made worse by Sione's decision making.
 
Sione's defence tonight was woeful, he was little more than a speed hump at times tonight. He needs to spend sometime in the NSW Cup to get his confidence back.


Chanel deserves another opportunity.
 
Every team we play for the rest of the year is going to target him now after letting in 5-6 tries in two games.
Being clowned every weekend isn't going to do his confidence and development any good.
 
It's the team as a whole that lead to those tries - yes it should of been stopped but most of the time the had an over lap. We can defend as soon as we have to move laterally quickly with players out the back like the sweep play.
 
Both Sione and Jimmie Mac were terrible, but maybe Jimmie was trying to cover both centre and wing ops and did neither well which is always the case. Jimmie to 3 and Chanel to 2 and SIone to the Cup.
 
Pointless article, sione turned 19 the other day and has played tests for australia he's not getting dropped, one minute everyone say we need the young guys next its drop one of them, baptism by fire I say, the seasons done anyways let him have the year to learn and be rewarded for patience
 
100% agree with this....blah blah yes he played origin...but he is slow and your typical NRL winger 6ft+ and agile, his renown defence has been poor this year...
 
Lol, anyone blaming Jimmy is having a laugh.

Go watch the cowboys game we won and he's shutting down four or five tries by himself.

Boy wonder is hanging him out to dry, just like he was to aku on the other side.

Jimmy is adding nothing in attack but he's still an excellent defender.
 
Yeah, he's on a hiding to nothing in defence at the moment. But it's the nothing in attack I am worried about, and why I think his time is up.
