I'd expect that the club would have had to come to a financial agreement with AOB compensating for the remainder of his contract. This would take time.Maybe they already have and it's just letting the ink dry. Giving AOB until the end of the season or after the last home game to exit in a more nice way.

So if they're sacking him next week, its not unlikely that the club had made that decision many many weeks ago.
The fact hannay was linked to 3 clubs and then silence makes you think he had done a deal somewhere and it was just about waiting on the right time, timeline coincides with our last month of football being so poor aswell, if its leaking outside the club it would be well known inside by aob and playing group. They'd want to hurry up and sign him, because anything could happen with Payton
He hasn’t done coach media this week so I reckon that’s right. This is the weekend.
How convenientBaz said he does that today.
Like, after today? The club should acknowledge and thank AOB for the work he has done over the past 6 years but they should definitely sack him sometime this season.
See @Brad tighe ‘s post number #2765 in this thread.Like, after today?
I can’t see it happening. The Telegraph today is reporting Geoff Coburn (West Board), suggesting O’Brien is a great coach who has had an under manned team this year, and will see out the last 2 years of his contract.Hope he gets marched today
No. He finish 8th a couple of times which buys him a few spoon worthy seasons. Was he sacked at halftime?
Luckly for us the decision isnt down to Coburn alone.I can’t see it happening. The Telegraph today is reporting Geoff Coburn (West Board), suggesting O’Brien is a great coach who has had an under manned team this year, and will see out the last 2 years of his contract.
All this speculation amounts to a big fat nothing.
Coburn should stick to running hospitality venues because he is a bad judge of a rugby league coach.I can’t see it happening. Coburn played footy for a number of years, including for the Eels in the 80s. He's not a bad judge simply because he isn't an armchair analyst screaming "SACK AOB" on a fan forum.Coburn should stick to running hospitality venues because he is a bad judge of a rugby league coach.
