Rumour: Knights to make a play for Jarryd Hayne and let go of big name player

Just add us to list behind Parra and the Roosters and possibly 6 other clubs.. would have better chance of picking the trifecta in the melb cup yesterday ..
 
At least we're finally showing some ambition (if this is even true). 0% chance of us actually signing him though.
 
You never know , he sold his house in Sydney . He likes a challenge , its possible . Throw every last cent we have at him and a couple of Newcastle companies to back him too and then appeal to his competitive side and ask him to help make our club a force again and make him captain if he wants it .I don't think it will happen but it is possible ....
 
It would need McGuigan to put together a massive 3rd party deal, but Hayne has the profile to sell a deal like that. He would need to be the face of a company like NIB or similar.

Lol, yeah that won't be happening. We'd have to beat every other club in the comp for his signature. He ain't leaving the NFL anytime soon anyway, if he doesn't eventually make it, it'll still be a few years down the track before he returns.
 
Hayne is also more likely to stick around on the NFL practice squad and try and work his way back up again rather then going back to the NRL. The only way he would on his way back was if he was moved out of the practice squad but by the time happens 2016 is a write off.
