Brown would have worked with Cronk at storm, and he seems like the kind of guy that would love a challenge of bringing juniors through for one last pay cheque, he's done everything in the game I don't think winning a premiership would be his main motivation if he continues playing. In saying that I think it's laughable he would come to knights, more likely panthers if they can move players
 
And I think we all mostly agree on the players we would take but the contract value and terms is where we differ in opinion.

I would say we all would take Cronk. But how much would we pay?

For Cronk to cosider coming id say 1.5m is a base line tbh.... id offer him 3.2m for 2yrs and im sure 1m of tpa could be found for him.
If he knocked that back then the writing is on the wall.
 
Cronk would get a huge TPA, so his share of salary cap space wouldn't kill us.
He would end up costing less than a lower profile guy like Bird, who wouldn't get half the TPA Cronk would pretty much bring with him.
 
$1.5 for Cronk , whatever Ferguson is on plus a bit , Whatever it takes to get Graham here and lolohea while he is still cheap .
 
We can't get TPA's to our club. Why is Cronk suddenly going to dredge up money that isn't there for him?

Because he has a bigger personal profile than anyone we have ever signed, and a national profile, not just a Newcastle profile. He is already reported to have some media deal, which is a TPA he is already signed for.
 
I dont believe Cronk would come to us for the money. Best hope we have to get him is him wanting a new challenge. Something to really prove himself he has done all that there is to do in the game. But to take us from the sh*thouse to the penthouse will really be a feather in his cap. Or he can retire and take a cushy job at fox sports and go home to his beautiful fiancé every night and not have to worry

Kidley and Mullo had TPAs, and they had half the profile of Cronk.
I just don't believe one of the highest profile players in Australia couldn't get a TPA, even if he signed for West Wyalong.

I doubt Cronk will make more than a million dollars next year if he retires. Media deal or not.

I think it's a ploy from his manager.

I doubt a company is going to stump up money for a melbourne ring in.
 
My word you guys are super positive. For Cronk sponsors would come out of the woodwork. If Beau Scott could get a TPA from a car yard big bucks would just roll in for Cooper.

Beau scott got a 80k boat and small tv show with Terrace boating..
Not saying Cronk would come but if he did im sure tpa deals would knock down the door for him.
