Rumour: Josh Dugan linked to the Knights

This is what happens when the club openly admits to having plenty of funds.

Its not smart to advertise ur funds in this game.

I'd laugh if anyone gave him a cent more then $750k, us included

I'd cry if we did, so sick of our club paying overs for hack's, he was good earlier on, and is still probably above average...when he's on the field...but he's injury prone.

Sharks are shopping Dugan around and he’s said to be on more then 800k so somewhere between 800-900k.
He is that out of favour that he could even play reserve grade

For those that were ever open to the idea and still are how much would you want the Sharks to pay him to bring him here?

And for me it’d be a cold hard pass for the reasons stated before, and I know it’s about next to zero percentage chance but eh it’s the off-season and we are all bored lol.

He was pretty good for the sharks at the back end of last year. Hes injury prone though and we just signed a bunch of new centers. So it would be a pass for me, i think if you could get him for 400 though it would probably be worth it.

Dugan maybe 5 years ago. No thanks now. Lays on the ground "hurt" too much. Getting soft in his old age.

We don't need him I don't think and wouldn't waste $800,000 on him that's for sure .

At $200k he'd be worth considering, but there are more negatives than positives.

- What would the impact be on the confidence of the guys already fighting for the remaining centre and wing positions?
- If he stays fit and gets back to his best I'd take Moga over Dugan every day of the week.

Seriously, what has he ever done? He had a high ceiling in Canberra and looked the goods. But other than that he’s no better than an average player who gets injured regularly and hangs out with grubs.

It'd be a no from me. I think he'd still have a lot to offer, and he'd have experience to mentor our very young backline. However, we have a good crop of backs now and it's not a position of need. I think if we sign anyone, it'll be 1-2 backrowers.

He apparently seems to have been a pretty lazy trainer over the off-season who's lost motivation under the 'interim' coach Morris. He seemed to do okay under Flanagan despite missing his usual quarter of a season games.
That's a bit of a red herring but also a motivation if he finds another team and it sort of playing with a chip on his shoulder. Based off his past, eh I don't see it.

But if he went to the Storm or Roosters he would probably fit in and do well, and his baggage would fizzel out under neath their winning.

That said I don't think the Sharks would want to help the Storm out financially to take Dugan off their hands IMO. The Storm actually do need experienced outside backs/backs now that I think of it
