Rumor: Knights chasing Dylan Napa for 2018

That is incorrect, he wouldn't get given those metres unless it was a offload or made a break through the line. Anything done before the line doesn't get added on as run metres.

I know mate i like to harass

On the Lurker today
I am told the Roosters have upped the ante in talks with prop Dylan Napa in a desperate bid to keep him on their books.
It's well known that Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett wants hitman Napa to return to Queensland - and the big red head isn't against the idea.
But the Chooks are still well in the hunt and don't write off Newcastle's chances.
The Knights have cash and are keen on Napa, who comes off contract after next season.
After signing Kalyn Ponga, Napa's arrival would be another massive boost for a club on the re-build.

Napa would be a great addition also, aggressive as truck and would have every attacking team looking out for him in the middle.

Him and Korbs fighting for SOO jumpers and knights jumpers would be good also.

Think 2017 will be Korbs real breakout yr tbh.
Hitting man life now with a bubs and a bit less drama around his personal life

Thats actually an older report. The latest report says this

" Sydney Roosters prop Dylan Napa might want to start understanding how to play the game.
And we're not talking about on the field.
Open to the notion of leaving the Roosters in 2018, Napa's management have fielded several inquiries from clubs, most notably from Brisbane and Newcastle.
However, the interest from the latter has been short-lived.
Why? Because unlike 18-year-old Kayln Ponga, who travelled down from Townsville, Napa couldn't be bothered driving two hours north to Newcastle for a meeting and tour of the club's facilities.
The Knights, who were preparing to make Napa a huge offer, have made an internal decision to sign only those player's willing to be part of the community. "

Ehh look he struck me as lazy anyway. Just listening to him talk I feel he is a little arrogant as well.

I might be the only one but I don't rate Napa, sure he is good for a big hit but I don't think he has much more impact than that.

Definitely not the only one. Don't rate him at all. Only good for a couple solid hits and that's it.

HE is one of the game’s most highly-rated hitmen who is being targeted by almost half the clubs in the NRL.

But it appears prising Dylan Napa out of the Sydney Roosters will be easier said than done.

Heavyweight Queensland clubs Brisbane and North Queensland are understood to be desperate to beef up their forward packs by bringing Napa back to his home state in 2018 while the Newcastle Knights have made no secret of the fact they see him as the player to potentially lead their young pack over the next decade.

Several other clubs have also expressed an interest but are struggling to even get to first base with the 24 year old prop, who is keen to explore all avenues at his current club before looking elsewhere.

Brisbane and the Knights are among the clubs to have issued an invitation to Napa and his management to have a first-hand look at their facilities.

At this stage, he is yet to take up either offer.

“He obviously has plenty of interest from a lot of clubs which is not surprising because he is one of the leading young props in the game,” Knights coach Nathan Brown said.

“He’s got the Cowboys and the Broncos chasing him so he’ll probably end up at one of those clubs if he leaves the Roosters but he is someone we are keen to bring to Newcastle for a chat and a look around if he is genuinely interested.”

The Roosters though remain favourite to re-sign him.

“It is fair to say his first preference is to remain at the Roosters,” Napa’s manager Clinton Schifcofske said.

“He’s in demand.

“There has been enormous interest in him as you’d expect and plenty of rumours about where he might be headed in 2018.

“But at this stage, we are only talking to the Roosters to see if we can get something over the line.

“We haven’t done anything with anyone else because the Roosters is his focus.

“If that changes, then we’ll obviously look at all potential options out there.”

Among the most destructive props in the game, Napa will command as much as $700,000 a season on the open market with it considered only a matter of time before he breaks into the Queensland State of Origin squad.

He was banned from this year’s series and a potential debut for the Maroons after being one of eight players from the Emerging Maroons squad to be sanctioned by coach Kevin Walters and the QRL after breaking curfew during a camp in Brisbane back in February.
