The Cowboys forgettable start to the season also got worse, being defeated by a Hunt/Locyer less Broncos. The Storm were also handed their first back to back loss since Early 2006 and another pretty ordinary week for the tipsters.

Give Mason hell, says Bulldogs boss
By Steve Jancetic | March 31, 2008
BULLDOGS boss Todd Greenberg wants his club's fans to give Willie Mason 80 minutes of hell when the outspoken prop returns to ANZ Stadium in enemy colours on Friday night.
In what shapes as the biggest regular season NRL battle in recent memory, Sydney Roosters forward Mason will come face to face with the teammates he walked out on last November for the first time.
And Greenberg, on his first day as Bulldogs chief executive, said he wanted fans to remind Mason he was now the enemy.
“I'm expecting it to be brutal on the field, I'm expecting it to be personal on the field,” Greenberg said. “He won't go wondering about which supporters are there, there's no doubt about that.
“That's what people will pay their ticket money for, to get out there and see Willie Mason in the red, white and blue. Now's the opportunity for Bulldogs fans to get out there and support us and make sure we have an advantage there.”
Roosters five-eighth Braith Anasta is one player who knows exactly what Mason is in for on Friday night.
The former New South Wales Origin pivot felt the full force of the Bulldogs wrath when he ran out against his former club in 2006.
“The Doggies fans, they're so passionate and they're loyal supporters. They're going to be out there in force and I'm sure they're going to be giving Willie a bit of stick,” he said.
“But he's a big boy and he can handle it. I remember when I first played against them, it's not easy.
“It's a new club and he's had some really strong memories and good memories of the club and I'm sure he'll find it a bit uneasy or a bit different to what he's used to.”
Merchandise sales of the Bulldogs 'Born not bred' t-shirts - a direct snipe at the Roosters' recruitment policy that currently sees four former Bulldogs in the tri-colours - are tipped to skyrocket this week.
Greenberg reinforced the message, saying Bulldogs players and fans had every right to resent Mason for the way he deserted them last year.
“They have a right to be disappointed in him and his actions and that's up to them,” Greenberg said.
“The club's moved on - we're in decent form and we're a good tight strong unit and we play for each other.
“There's no doubt Willie's a great footballer but we want people here who are wanting to play with each other, and that's what a team is.
“The Bulldogs have always been known for being a fantastic team and a club - no individual will ever take over this club.”
