I think having Lino Ponga and Pearce together in the same numbers for another week we should see a bit of improvement in fluency.
Still not a fan of some of the dumb **** Levi does offensively but he does everything else ok and plays hard and there is no one better until slade recovers so whatever
What dumb stuff did Levi do tonight ? He threw 1 pass that DSaf pulled out of and bounced other than that he was surely one of best.

Everyone at the goal line has been a bit poo today. Pearces long kicks have actually been excellent. It’s just that he gets remembered for the Frizzell strip or the poor fifth tackle options which are a combination of no one being on the same page the last few weeks
I have questioned Pearce's form in every game counting the trials. He could've made a play for the ball last week that was pulled back from touch in goal but just watched it roll past him. He bombed a try I would've scored tonight by not even looking to his left. I've asked is he carrying an injury ? Please don't make excuses for the bloke imagine if Lamb or Cogger kept serving up sub par efforts.

He hit the grass once, hit a winger or fullback every other time.
His being belted a lot though whem kicking, maybe thats affected his game also.
Either way, whats been going on at training has put Pearce off and its showing.
Being the 5th tackle option and a bystander for the rest when you came for the fight to be the leader would hurt.
Hopefully the whole club sees that our leader has the 7 on his back and needs to be respected with that job.
Let Ponga be Ponga when it just happens, this pushing the Ponga movement is going to kill our team and Ponga career by mid season.

I've seen it to.

I put it down to fast tracking KP as a half at first, which made sense tbh.
Though tonight with Lino at 6 KP at 1 and Pearce at 7... i really "hoped" to see a different game from us in attack and have our best player direct it, it was still feed KP show and the other 16 just be on the field to make up rhe numbers.
Pearce is clearly not enjoying it, why would he? His come to us with a WANT to be our leader and take us into better times, I'd bet without Pearce we wouldnt have Klemmer tbh.
Hopefully in the next month the whole set up goes back to having Pearce being the shot caller and hope the bad habits that haunt this club go away for a bit.

The question I want answered is why did ponga kick on tackle 1 when we got our six again? Had them on the ropes and should have scored the match winner. Once we get under fatigue we lose all sense of the word football.

We’re a team that’s still “gelling” yet here’s Parra with a few new faces with a rookie in Brown, Ferguson, Lane and Paulo and Canberra with CNK, Sutton and Bateman doing it tough sitting comfortably in the 8. When will the excuses ever die? I can say our defence is miles better than the last four years but amounts to absolutely nothing when we’re a terrible attacking team.

Ramien is catching a cold out on the flank, KP’s kicking it over to Lee with a full attacking set in front of him, our forwards bar Klemmer, Glasby and even King tonight were running sideways and are just barely making it to halfway, we’re giving it to second rowers on the last tackle, we’re dropping the ball on the last in attacking territory and Pearce’s kicking has been tragic to say the least. We are giving ourselves no options but to lose. There’s just no cohesion, structure or threat coming from anywhere besides a KP cut out pass. We don’t even chase our kicks and apply pressure to the backs, we just hope they make an error. It’s just hard to watch. We haven’t even scored more than 14 points yet for christ sake. Frustrating is an understatement.

You can add dogs to that list, Pearce has played more games than their entire spine and they put on a better effort tonight than us.

Ok I've vented so now I'll mention the referee. Graham unloads right in front of old mate and is given a penalty for a strip. At least 3 of the most blatant flops you'll see 1 where I think the Dragons winger got there as our player went to get up. The St George 10m was closer to 6m a lot of the time on 1 20m restart SKD took the tap and there was 7 Dragons withing 3-5ms.
