Was always worth giving Young a shot. To be fair, we didn’t have much choice. But he will be working the rest of the year in reggies. Clearly. And Shiba will struggle to play first grade again. He’s not good enough and has proven it time and time again. Very average.

Disappointing given how close we were to winning.

I really like what I see from Hoy, he's no Ponga obviously, but the kid tries his heart out regardless of mistakes. He also takes the line on, something Ponga rarely ever does. I'd be very happy to see a 1. Ponga 6. Hoy post Pearce/Green once he gets some strength in him for defence.

The errors definitely aren't on him, but everything else is. He's the halfback with 300 games behind him, and our only playmaker with a running fullback and 5/8. You can't get tackled on the 4th half the time, and put up bombs to Laurie who hasn't missed a beat from inside our own half. We gave them a free 30 metres every set regardless of if we dropped the ball.

How do you get repeat sets when your turning it over in your half every set? Pearce is a good punching bag, we have Best in for Shiba we probably win that.
