Better team won...Missed Hilder in defence...All the Broncos trys were pretty soft. Lets hope for better results against Bulldogs and Souths

I think tonight summarizes our season. Injuries, poor decisions from the ref and too many individual errors. I won't name names. We are clearly lacking the edge that the likes of the Warriors & Broncos have got which puts teams away. Hopefully a nice restructure in 2012 should help us compete better in these must win games. Until then, EPL & Cricket!!

Consistently poor individual performances has hindered us far more than injuries and bad refereeing decisions.

What the **** was with Mullen in the first half doing the exact same kick while in the opp 20 two sets in a row?

FFS. I thought he was finally over his retarded cross-field speculator. Guess it was just wishful thinking. :\

Sloppy misguided attack, zero cohesion, no composure under pressure, ill-discipline - all the hallmarks of an under-prepared team.

Lack of heart and effort in front of the massive crowd you asked for - that's players with an eye on next year.

Simply pathetic.

Good to see some level headed people still are on the forum.

The rest of the pre-teens have a cry after every loss going on about the same ****, most of which is unwarranted. Pretty sure after every loss after about round 10 this season, except maybe the Tigers game, people have been writing off the season and deathriding the team. Then they jump straight back on the bandwagon after every win.

And those saying they hope we dont make the finals, because we'll get flogged by Melbourne? what the **** is that kinda of attitude? I'll gladly watch my team go around another week, and Ill support them in every match. I wouldnt care if we were going up against the best 17 players in the world. I will still hold belief that my team could do the impossible.

I think the majority on here didnt get the full experience of the 2005 season, because I know that season gave me a new perspective on supporting the Knights.

Sorry to say it but at this stage I couldnt care less if Rick Stone found another team and didnt stay on as our assistant coach for the next 4 years he is showing to me that he has absolutely no idea how to coach this team. Cameron Ciraldo getting a start in front of Joel Edwards is embarrassing lets look at their future prospects, Joel Edwards with the right coaching arguably a future origin player, Ciraldo future wooden spooner at Penrith. Next up giving the bench spot to Lulia in front of Tetevano seriously Tetevano has been one of our best in recent weeks. Rick Stone is IMO not ready to be a first grade coach yet, our tactics are awful most weeks with no sign of set plays, him telling Stig to run the ball more and more is useless and some of his team selections are absolutely baffling.

A couple of things I would like to rant over.

We gave them too much respect and time on the last tackle to kick by not moving up, when we were on the last they would race up and our kicks would turn to crap. Our left hand side defence was thouroughly carved to pieces, as predicted. If it isn't Mcmanus/Sau racing in, it's Mullen jersey grabbing like a ****ing pansy. We can't honestly expect to win by dropping the ball that much either, showed no respect for the football at all, quite dissapointing having such a low completion rate. Our attack was as structured as ever, vintage Mullen all over again producing his usual floating cut out pass either putting the centre under pressure or throwing it along the ground foward, he then followed up with yet again his ever so predictable flat ball for Houston/Costigan/Ciraldo jamming them up to drop the ball cold. This is 'The Next Joey' we are talking about here! LOL

Not a lot nice worth talking about. Poor ball control and discipline. Really missed hilder out there. gotta remember we were down to a 2-man bench which explains the tiredness at the end, but still no excuse for the rest of the game. Honestly was Faas even playing? seemed to have no impact at all. thought tui played really well. house played really well also apart from his sin binning. that first try they scored was pretty rough, but you get those calls.
Bring on the Dogs!!! Chin up boys - The men in red and blue should never say die - All you %^^&* who are saying bring on next year, should crawl back in your miserable little holes, while us true supporters cheer the boys on till the end. Knights 11

Well I can tell you Joey would never have passed to a second rower with two defenders closing in on him. He'd be O'Davis round the back, hello overlap and try. It seems mullen tries this short ball, and Stig tries his step irrespective of whats in front of them. Its way too pre-meditated and predictabled. The only guy on the team who seems as though he can read the game is Gidley, however at times his skills let him down, and trying to force the play once its shut down.

If I could thank your post I would, but for some reason I cant

Broncos are at a different level with a better calibre of players - it's as simple as that.

What I don't understand are the mind boggling selections.

The Knights re-sign Edwards and Tetevano this year yet then Stone throws Ciraldo on to start and Lulia on the bench (in the end it turned out ok because of Sau injury) in one of our biggest games of the year.

My point being, if we make the semi's, are you going to play blokes that are moving on next year?

Ciraldo or Taia?
Lulia or Tetevano?
Edwards or Ciraldo? (Starting)

I know Stone is only thinking this year this year, but surely he must see these blokes are just downgrades on others.

Hit the nail on the head.

Once there tonight going down the right hand side, Mullen has Gidley I believe behind him on the decoy play with an overlap forming for a try and Mullen goes straight to the ever so skillful Ciraldo with three defenders in front of him and what do you know? A dropped ball. If he goes behind, we should score. That is the difference between a good ballplayer and an average one.

We lost because we showed no respect for the ball. Our completion rates were shocking, we made simple errors, our on-line defence wasn't great and made the wrong decisions in the big moments and in a way we have become predictable.

Howabout Tui's crossfield bomb? What a pearler!

Anyway, adam.forbes1 pretty much summed it up. When the whole team drops the ball you can't pin it on one person.

Fans are entitled to be filthy and jump on and off the band wagon. It doesn't matter how often you whinge, blow up or praise the team at the end of the season the Knights will still be your team. Supporters that go through the season without blowing up up lack passion. How can anyone sit through what we just witnessed and be calm and collected ? We were ****e and Stone couldn't coach a vine up a pole.

In everyone's defence who are actually looking forward to next season (myself included) when you go to see a side each week perform so inconsitently, it's awfully hard to maintain the 'happy days' approach - win lose or draw.

And to say your a true supporter compared to others is just ridiculous.

Exactly right - and Broncos defence was like our last clash up there with them. It was brutal and tricky to get through. Credit to them, think they will go close this year.

Well we can't really know how Tetevano's development was planned. Stone has shown a reluctancy to overuse the rooks this season, and you cant really say he has put a foot wrong with any of them. And Tetevano not playing led to Edwards being put back into the FR rotation, and Ciraldo starting. So it has all stemmed from the one decision not to play Tets, so unless Stone comes out and says why he didnt play tonight, we'll never know.

This.

Sometimes i think Stone doesn't know what he in regards to player development and that he has no long-term planning skills, or it could just be that he is just picking the players he is better friends with.
