Well it was obvious it should have been a penalty, but that would only have leveled the scores - we still didn't look like scoring a try in the second half, and other players like Uate and Gidley were still cracking under the pressure with bad errors.
Not to mention the Warriors still scored another try after that.
I don't think it changed the result ... but people have over-reacted to the loss on here. It could have gone either way, and it's one we should be proud of the team after.
I still think Fa'aoso was about our best player in that game.

IF that penalty was given, New Zealand dont score that try.
Uate and Gids errors were down the other end of the field. You could feel if they actually had a decent attacking set in the Kiwi's own 30 they woulda scored.
If Rapira hadnt been a grub, they probably would have.
Howabout we acceept the fact that we should never have been in that position where our game hinges on one call and that we were up 12-4 and really should have not let in two tries? Stop blaming the refs for this loss, at the end of the day many teams concede a buttload of penalties and hold out the team the next set. Frankly, they just didn't play good enough.

Hey guys looking at the game from the other side of the fence I think the knights did extremely well. The forwards put in a monster effort and not sure if the camera angles showed it but by the 60 minute mark there were a LOT of forwards (Warriors and Knights) who were hanging behind the lines either out of breath or clutching at a limb. It was a battlefield and they fought valiantly!
Interesting that yous feel ripped off by the ref also. The officiating was pretty average but I can say that the knights were creeping up inside the 10 metre mark the whole game and got away with it most of the time too. No finger pointing or anything, if the warriors couldve gotten away with it I would hope they wouldve done the same. Maddog showed his experience as he was the best at creeping forward and was stealing on some occasions upto 3 metres before the ball was played. He put a lot of pressure on Maloney/Johnson with those defensive runs and I think he is really bringing the backline together as you could see him yelling orders the whole game and him and Gids were talking all the time! Good signs Id say. The only concern Id have (from that game) as a Knights fan would be McManus and Faaoso. Oso soaked up a few good hits and then his hands seem to lose confidence. Is he trying to hold the ball too tight or something? McManus didnt seem to trust his centres and kept coming in all game and also couldnt seem to read the kickers very well and always seemed to be too shallow when setting up for the kick return leaving a lot more work for Gids who was trying to marshall the troops around.
Overall I thought the game was very enjoyable and I honestly thought the knights were gonna put the warriors to the sword! They had multiple opportunities but costly errors at vital points in the game (and an interesting penalty decision) let the pressure of the warriors and killed the momentum they were building well.

Yeah the Warriors got some rough calls too, how about when Stig grabbed a knock on 30 out from his line, ran eight metres and was bundled into touch, and they said he hadn't taken the advantage? Very lucky call for the Knights.

Yeah that one had me scratching my head but Ive seen a lot worse (with advantages) so didnt really find it surprising. The one that really confused me was when the warriors were running at the line and (forgive me but I didnt see who the Knights player was) one of the Knights players took Kevin Locke out of play. He got penalised but that was the end of it. 5 minutes later Ukuma Taai looked to do the same thing on McManus and is placed on report and is now facing a 2 game suspension??? Making no excuses for what he done. There is no need for such reckless technique but some consistancy would be appreciated.
Ta'ai's tackle was pretty pathetic stuff, he deserves a suspension. McManus's was a bit high, but no swinging arm, and the penalty was enough.

Oh okay, couldnt really see clearly at the game as the big screens there are crap but from where we were looking from it looked to be a blatant high shot. Agree what Ukuma done was stupid and whatever punishment the judiciary hand him I wont complain. Hes an extremely fiery player who sometimes gets caught up in the moment and does stupid things like late shots etc.
