Frustrating attack. Way too premeditated. We put plays on after poor rucks with nothing on, but then when we do get a bit of a roll on we **** our pants and do nothing with it.

Otherwise, the boys played tough and were definitely the better side in the second half when the game became a grind. Decided in the end by a few huge plays from key individuals, especially Barnett who usually infuriates me.

Our biggest problem today - line speed.

Every game we don’t have line speed (and we had zero except for the last 10 minutes today) we give our opposition and the ref the opportunity to keep us on the back foot, get fatigued and then struggle to wrest the momentum back.

The other thing we lapsed back into today was being too flat in attack.

I’ll take the 2 and hope we really learn from that for next week

I look felt like we needed to wrestle a bit more in the ruck to be honest. Cronulla we’re playing touch football getting out of their own end for a lot of the game.

Brisbane with Albi at 7 scare me for the last round

Bulldogs should be an easy win.
Titans depends on if Fifita wants to play or not.

I honestly think Titans and Broncs are scarier than Eels

Watching the game i thought the sharks were getting up and playing the ball i lot quicker then us. I just had a look at the stats apparently our play the ball speed average was quicker.

Trouble was when we wrestled the ref was quick with the 6 again call.
True. But it’s worth the risk of 6 again if you can get abit more control of the ruck. It felt like Cronulla were always on the front foot with their Brailey making heaps of metres out of dummy half.

Despite losing broncos have been playing good football they pushed Penrith, they come back against granted we had taken ponga and both safitis off, and should have won against the roosters.

Definitely on the early tackles it is to much of a risk later in the set depending on the situation of course.

When we set up for a play, it’s too easy to read. Pearce will catch and dig into the line before passing. All it does it limits Pongas space.

I’d like to see Pearce pass it straight away. Pretty much watch South’s for how to set the perfect sweeping attack.

I thought Barnett was the only one who really looked like he had needed that long turnaround.
He doesn't leave a lot out on the field and I thought he's been looking pretty beat up for the last few months really, but he came out and took it right up to them today.
Maybe they gave him a light week of training or something - he looked fresh.

South’s are specials at that sweeping play….the combo between Reynolds and Cody Walker, when they run those plays is poetry in motion👍🏻

By the way @packo, you and your young daughter (sorry) are now the official Marathon Stadium lucky charms - expect you to turn up to every game for the rest of the season👍🏻😉
