ROUND 20: Knights v Rabbitohs @ ANZ Stadium

One has got to laugh. 78th minute and a forward pass from our dummy half and Voss picks it up but misses the six or seven by Isaac Luke.

Personally see some sign of hope next year. Mamo was brilliant, our wingers are dependable, Gagai A1, Mullen and Hodko to form a good combination, Snowy, Korbin, Mickey, Vavai, Robbie R, Tariq, Stockwell, Tapine, Mataora, Jerzy off the bench, Levi and Clydesdale will improve, and a much better pack than tonight.

Sorry but your'e being a little too optimistic with that team for next year, Rick Stone is still coaching, it'll be closer to:

Gidley (last minute change of heart)
McManus
Sione
Gagai
Greg Smith (Stone liked the look of him in 1999)
Mullen
Roberts
Snowden
Randell
Paea
Lowrie
Newton (Decides to not retire after 500k offer from Stoney)
Houston (Could find no takers for him, so given a DCE type extension deal)
Reserves
Smith
Carl Webb (Enticed out of retirement, in another Stone master stroke)
Willie Mason (Brought home to finish his career on a 5 year deal, as he is quote "In career best form and leader of the pack")
Cameron Ciraldo

Did anyone see the Sunday Footy Show where they played Faalogo playing the ball without putting his foot on it. How bloody embarrassing is it when a play can't get the simple things right.

How embarrassing is it that 9 give air time to video of a player's foot not touching the ball ?

Happens hundreds of times every weekend.

Bah humbug Batman how could you torture us like this?

Sorry mate guess I'm just not coping well with Stone's coaching choices, it's my way of dealing with it to make light of a bad situation. I agree with your original post 100% there is a few bright spots there as long as Stone uses them properly.

Wrong James. Thousands of times each week. The foot touching the ball is now the rarity that MUST feature on the Footy Show!

Don't tell me about Stone Batman ~ he coached the Nambucca Roosters before going to Newie and imho was out of his depth!

Players' Player: Round 20

Tue 28th July, 09:49AM

Young fullback Jake Mamo was a shining light for the red and blues in Round 20, collecting his second Players' Player award in four matches.

Despite the scoreline and the Rabbitohs' dominance in possession, Mamo put in a tireless performance with his typical 'never say die' attitude.

While his chances to contribute in attack were limited, he was outstanding on the kick return.

The speedster made 10 kick returns, totalling 94 metres, and broke through 7 tackles.

He also had 93% tackle accuracy, missing only 1 of his attempted fifteen tackles.

STATS

- 80 minutes
- 16 runs
- 149 metres
- 14 tackles
- 7 tackle busts
- 1 offload
