Round 17 NSW Cup & NYC Thread

i played against the st george number 6 all through juniors, and the number 5 use to go to my school

Oh yeh, his try off a Stig kick was nice. But apart from that it's been poor defence.

It's on FoxSports if anyone wants to put their opinion.

NSW Cup I'm not sure of the two scorers, that's what I was referring too.

Knights In NYC

Dragons 16
Knights 8

KTC

Edit: Goal missed. Halftime 16-8

oh i get it know, i bet K4P is hoping a Uate double  they must have scored them both late cause i heard 36-0 with 15 minuted left.

good to hear, i need a big crowd to prove to a mate that the jets arnt becoming more popular than the knights

Knights are in again. Knights are playing great, they are running the dragons over atm. Dragons have lost Mundine and the Knights are starting to find their feet.

16 - 14 after 55 minutes.

Edit: Dragons are in. Man that Kilifa guy is so hot and cold, he just runs out!

Dragons 26 Knights 14

Fulltime in NYC

Dragons 26
Knights 18

A brave effort by the Knights who apart from doing alot of stupid plays scored some good tries.

Ahh Ryan Stig reminds me so much of Jarrod Mullen. Could we have two Mullen's in one team? :p

Players who will play FG somewhere in the future.

- Richardson
- Stig
- Williams (Good centre, couple of errors but he is solid)

In NSW Cup i noticed Walsh played very well he has varied his kicking game which even included a grubber to himself which almost set up a try and a short drop out. He was fairly solid in defence aswell!
White played awesome gotta be in fg soon and Young needs to pull this bloody socks up it annoys me so much

Perhaps Walsh will be a chance next week. Dureau hooker, Walsh halfback, Mullen 5/8.

Players who impressed in NYC today:

Peter Mata'utia (2):

Had some nice touches and looked dangerous at times with the ball in his hands. Was also safe out on that right wing.

Ryan Stig (6):

As always, Stig had another nice game today. Directed the team around the park well, and provided some spark in attack. Defended well, and also had a nice kicking game, passing game, and running game for the most part. He's got it all this kid, which is why he's one of my favourite juniors at the moment.

Joel Edwards (10):

Provided some decent go-forward today, though the thing that stood out to me the most was his huge work rate and great defence. For a big front-rower, he's got a great motor.

Callan Richardson (11):

Came off the bench today for whatever reason, though played well once again when he was on the field. Great defensively and had a huge work rate. Wasn't overly attacking on that right fringe in the backrow, though in all fairness, he didn't necessarily get great attacking ball either. Did have a couple of nice touches though.

Zane Tetavano (12):

Solid defensively again today I thought, and also didn't have a bad running game either. Needs better ball on that left fringe though, because this big man can cause some damage when he wants to.

Jason Schirnack (13):

Had a huge work rate and was top notch defensively once again today I thought. Real team player who'll do all the dirty work in the middle which is why he's another one of my favourite juniors at the moment.

Byron Fruean (14):

Started the game in the backrow in place of Richardson and eventually shifted to hooker. A real impact player who made an impact once again today. Aggressive defensively which was great to see and was real hard to bring down with the ball in his hands. Provided a nice spark at times.

Blake Gallen (17):

Hard worker in both defence and attack. Came off the bench today and did what he had to do at a very high level I thought. Pretty trust-worthy player who you know what you're going to get out of every week.

Once our Toyota cup team starts working well together **** they are going to be awesome. All of them show so much potential but yet still do stupid things.
