Round 17: Knights v Bulldogs @ Mackay Stadium

I can't believe we stopped Barba from scoring so many times, a few times it looked certain & he looked p*ssed ahaha.

I honestly believe it would destroy Uate, he isn't gonna find confidence in being dropped, the only way to make him happy is to get him scoring tries. Boyd will always be Boyd & once the Origin series grind is over he should be back fully committed for the Knights.

Yeah we won in a grind is the only positive! I thought our attack was really poor...

Yeah I mentioned the same thing a couple of pages back ^^ , didn't really understand why he was like that but maybe as others posted he was filthy on his performance, or Alicia said he's apparently dealing with off field issues so it could've been that, god knows. I remember on the Footy Show before Origin 1 Sam Thaiday was interviewing everyone and asked Boyd a question & he was just like 'nah' and sorta kept his head down, in which Thaiday said 'typical Darius Boyd, arrogance' which is a fair call from how he acts sometimes.

Yeah I wasn't sure if he was being arrogant or just annoyed cause he made a few errors and we should of played a bit better... Most of the boys were tired I think, I love the attitude Mason brings "YEAH ****ING OATH BOYS!" He was happy with the griding win and definitely his best performance! Need to tighten up our markers inside our own 10
 
I noticed Mullen was yelling at Boyd at one stage to come to his side for a sweeping play and Boyd didnt even listen haha
 
You know the referees were definitely drunk that game when they let the Bulldogs get away with so much and then say Kasiano is bleeding.
 
They did let an Ennis pass go 5m forward out of dummy half into a howling wind among other things. Pair of drop kicks.
 
Yep lol they didn't pull up Ennis for his blatant forward pass of the century. Stopped play instantly when Brown lost the ball and Leilua ran away to score, they didn't blow full time until 30 seconds after full time, apparantly the siren did actually go off but the referees "couldn't hear it" even though clearly all the players did. No penalty for Reynold's shoulder charge, they let Barba play on after knocking on and the funniest one of all they actually thought Kasiano was playing. That's just off the top of my head. Not whinging, it's just comical how appalling they were on Sunday.
 
Just watched the post, wayne wasn't impressed at all lol worse performance in the last month. joked said the half time speech was 'walk home if you don't win' can still make a joke even though he wasn't happy!

I so think something was up with boyd, he has been in everything the last month but this game looked flat...
 
I was flicking through the Big League Magazine This Morning and came to the Stats pages...

Couple of Things that stood out and as Knights fans we should be proud of these players and what they have done so far this year....

Kade Snowden

- Has made more metres than any other forward in the NRL this year with 2,250m, Average of 141m a game, Second overall to only Greg Inglis who has 2,313m

James McManus

- Leading Try scorer in the NRL as we all know with 16 tries, 3 tries in front of his nearest rival

- 4th in the entire NRL for linebreaks with 14 so far this year

Akuila Uate

- 2nd in the Entire NRL for Return Metres off a kick with 882m, Second only to Greg Inglis (988m) who has played 1 more game than Aku

Jarrod Mullen

- Best Long Kicker in the NRL by far, He has made 121 long kicks with only 45 going directly to the opposition and 76 finding open space.

- 2nd in the NRL for 40/20's with 3

- Most Kicks in play by a far margin with 253, Luke Walsh is second with 206

- Most Kick Metres in the NRL with 8,045m. Nearest to him is Luke Walsh with 6,302m
 
My bulldogs fan came over my house smiling at Half time and I didn't know the score and he was like enjoy watching the rest of the game but turns out he was just trolling ahah
