He was one of, if not the, main reason Wests won the comp in 2005. You've got a short memory if you don't remember that. He's barely strung 5 games in a row together since ... give the guy a break.

2005 was a year I don't want to remember.

Touche Kiwi. The way people go on and on and on about him when he's now a speed bump in defence. His attack, he doesn't ever run the ball, he rarely gets tackled (as in passes it all the time or loses it when he does). He's a cripple at 21 - 22 years of age.

The last bit about him being a cripple is so bloody sad- I feel for him!
2005 GF was a great game that plick pass will always be on any highlights package in the history of nrl!
2005 wasn't that bad towards the end we turned into the team we were in early 06

2005 was alright, the Knights finished on fire, and Origin was good for Johns.

When we were going so useless I jumped on the Wests bandwagon and supported them through the finals. I also went to the grand final that year, so it was pretty awesome seeing them win. Benji was absolutely brilliant, he might not never get that good again, but it's not really his fault.

Also Kiwis won the Tri Nations in 05! So from an international standpoint, it was the greatest year in history haha.

One thing i hate about 2005 was the fact we started it without a jersey sponsor it looked cheap and unprofessional! 05 state of origin was awesome Dominate is the only word i could describe for joey

He's overrated in my opinion. Good player but nothing special.

I agree, he's pretty average player, one good year and that's it.

But still Scott Prince was in better form then Marshall in 05.

I hope Benji can re-gather the form he had in 05, he's been unlucky.
Also for the game, he was looked up to by kids all around Australia and New Zealand, one of the best role models in the game.

Farah makes him look better to I reckon Farah's better than Marshall and Prince or will be anyway Marshall is a bit of a myth though but at his best he is dangerous

Indeed, Marshall was good during 2005 but Prince did most of the work.

Agreed. Sure Benji has tricks and obviously he's a very skillful player but there's more to rugby league than that.
