I thought he defended okay today except for Kata's try.
Are you pointing blame on him for Hoffman's try?
We were short on numbers.
The play before dragged in 4 defenders.
If Gagai went in on Hoffman, Johnson would've went in untouched.
I thought the left hand side defense was much worst.

He needs to stand further back as well.

When he did that I thought "What was he doing standing back that far away from Hodkinson. Seemed too long a distance and too long a pass to make personally. I'll have to watch it again and see.
 
Just finished watching the replay..
We are not going to win any games this year by trying to defend a 2-6 point lead.
It has been that way for many years.
Taking the peantly shot in the first half when we were on top was the wrong option.
Browny should just let them play footy like what we saw from Barnett and Ross in the second half.
Encourage offloads and second phase as much as possible.
Make the opposition tired.
Much easier to defend a tired attack.
The game trial against the Raiders should be the blueprint.
Best we have looked in years.
It's funny.. we look like a decent footy team when we are chasing points throwing the footy around but once we hit the lead, we **** ourselves, back to playing conservatively and always end up losing.

I'd probably agree with that

Though I'd say that I think Dane isn't vocal enough. I'm not sure who's responsibility it is to be calling for more numbers, but his side of the field seems to be lacking numbers more than wed like
 
Kenny up this way we had a blackout during a severe electrical storm and off went the TV immediately prior to Hoffman's try, Saw a small part of the play the ball under the sticks and it seemed to me the ball player dropped the ball before it hit the ground. Maybe this perception was the TV picture getting a little fuzzy before it went off. Any sign of that live?

And for mine it was a pre match plan not to kick on the last tackle, and it came off once thanks to Barnett. Far better to be tackled 10 metres out on the last than seeing it go dead and giving the opps seven tackles from the 20 metre line.
 
Us kicking a penalty goal when in front has pretty much been a point when we lose the game for me, its been a trend ive seen happen for 15yrs!

Being 12 nil up then go for goal to be 14 or the old 16-6 half time lead.

Soooooooo many times its happened.

Yesterday i seen absolutely no point in that goal, on top them out on there feet and go for goal to be up 8 nil..... they got a 5min rest a re group and then upped the tempo for 12mins to score 20pts

Yet we took the tap when clinging to a lead with about 10 to go. Surely taking the 2 and getting the ball back was a better option. Who made the decisions ?
 
I personally thought that loss was harder to take than any other loss we've had in the past year beside the Cronulla drubbing. Yesterday sucked and we had it in the bag if not for two or three costly errors.
 
Well to be honest we lead by 8 and were well in the competition, and came back strongly in the last 20 minutes. I think Browny was like many of us ~ disappointed so near and yet so far. We fell in a real hole when Barnett was forced off with his conk, and Starling and Saifiti went to the bench. Next Saturday may be the day!

Nah Canberra in Canberra last year was the pits. 22-0 up and Rapana's try in Golden Point.

I don't think winning was his major priority last year.
Mind you, naming Yates and Stone for round one makes me wonder if he is still more interested in developing future players than winning.
