If we can complete the majority of sets, Storm showed last night how that can win games. This will be a good game to test out our weapons other than Ponga, as clearly he'll be targeted. Hoping Ramien and Watson have big games tonight.

OK - I'll put it down to Cupples funny voice - I listened to the interview and thought he said metatarsal, but the printed version says 5th metacarpal, which is the bone above the little finger, not the little toe - sorry.

Going to be a couple of months before we even look slightly polished with our tough draw we'll get smacked a few times on the way.

Can't wait to see everyone slashing their wrists again and calling for heads after a month.

They're crap in every game we lose. Which has been most of them lately.

And it's totally unfair for fans to expect a good team performance after three years of garbage.
 
No excuses will float now.
We are spending the full salary cap.
Brown is onto about the 3rd side he has put together in the "re-build".
We are spending big money on support staff.
We can't even claim a big injury toll.
In the words of Jack Nicholson, "What if this is as good as it gets?"
 
Herman Eseese has been dropped into the reserve grade side as starting lock - Zac Hosking to the bench and Ben Thomas out of the side.
 
Will miss this game because of work :fist:

I've enjoyed the ride despite the spoons. Ain't no rainbow without a little rain.
As for refs...Meh...like our team they're not perfect.
 
"IF" we lose it could be to many "factors" or "excuses"
But to think we will come out rd1 and be at our best with 70% of the side never playing together before is laughable.
We should hope to see some glimpses of what could come and some solid effort for 80 minutes.
Im sticking with a 28-12 sharks win.
 
I hope they don’t have the mentality of some on here. There is combinations and there is dropping the ball with no excuses. We played like junk in the trial but there was promise. Big turn around at home. Pearce MOM.
