ROUND 1: Knights v Warriors @ Hunter Stadium

Interesting you ask. 1 comment on twitter said he was outstanding. I suggest they give Greg Bird his crack pipe back. Gave away a pot plant penalty for a flop that led to a try and was solid at best. No better or worse than Houston.

And looked sloppy in defence at times but made some good runs with some decent leg drive, basically a bigger prop version of Houston.

Yeah ofcourse, I'm not one of the people writing him off but on current form I think it's an accurate description. Definitely wasn't terrible like some people were making him out to be.

I see Tariq Sims as a Steve Simpson style of player. Back row and up to front row to take the pressure off the bench rotation and/or injuries.

Round 1 match charges

Mon 9th March, 02:45PM

Sione Mata'utia was charged by the Match Review Panel with a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw on Monday.

Mata'utia has decided to take the early plea, which will allow him to be selected for this weekend's game against the North Queensland Cowboys.

Meanwhile, Tyrone Roberts had no case to answer after being reported in Saturday's win over the Warriors.

No case to answer yet they give it a 8 point try which could have cost us the game.

Absolute joke the refs have been.

Just because an 8 point try is given doesn't automatically mean there will be a suspension.

To give a penalty after the incident has happened the player in the 'Wrong' has to be placed on report. It was tough, but it made the win more sweeter. Though it was nothing like what Slater used to do to get the rule brought into place.

Did anyone hear Matty Johns giving it to Sean Johnson last night on his show.

I never noticed on the replay or at the time, but Sean missed Tyrone, who was then tackled by 2 others a bit further over. Sean then went over to the ruck and made one of them get back in the line so he could stand at marker. Couldn't be bothered running back to get onside. They absolutely gave it to him...which was amusing.

Not a great attitude from a golden boot winner methinks.

I think that statement and the fact the players were happy with Uate shows that there was some sort of plan for Uate to handle Manu, and he carried it out.
We probably need Sandercock to explain it to us, because all i saw was waving his arms and pulling faces.

The tries he shut down were when he chased down the lolohea and manu line breaks.

Lolohea is crazy fast but aku gave him 10 metres start and caught him easily.

I just wonder how fit Johnson actually was. He was in doubt up until Friday afternoon and his usual work ethic sure was absent. Be interesting to see if there is an improvement in him this weekend.
