Round 1 2016 Team

Far out do you blokes ever have anything good to say everything is negative and nothing is good enough . Half the people on here ar'nt knights fans your just nay sayers in a knights shirt and maybe you should get together and take over from Brown and his staff as you seem to know how to run a team better than he does and the club better than the Admin apparently ...There's a lot of keyboard coaches and keyboard CEO's on this sight ....

If you ain't happy follow Willie.....to France!

Everyone is entitled to say apart from you Johnny Come Latelies. Many of us have paid big bucks over the years to be members of this Club!

Good for you i dont care what you have paid and i may be a Johnny come lately to this sight compared to some but i have been a supporter of this club since it was announced we were going to have a team in the NRL and spent my hard earned on games and merchandise BUT none of that matters my point still stands ....I did'nt say you cant put forward your opinion thats what forums are for but do you have to be negative about everything all the bloody time MATE....

I think the guys who will be unlucky and miss out will be Ross, Chanel, Lamb, Jacob Saifiti, Mataora, Fitzgibbon and Bhana - and maybe you can add Pearsell. All those guys would go OK if we needed them I think.

The negativity on here is rough, but I'm all for each to their own in terms of opinions. The issue is people do gang up on others on here and it can get a bit personal. But in terms of negative opinions, in hind sight it's a rough club to be positive about and think the guys on here do a good job keeping the positivity up

Given the fact that Brown started Feeney at fullback in the teams only "real" trial, I would be surprised if he doesn't stick with him going into round 1. It would seem like a waste of time to play him in the trial if he isn't going to start their against the Titans, especially if Mamo was his first choice! Given Mamo's limited experience any game time at fullback would have been invaluable. With regards to some members believing it is ok for some of our senior players to go through the motions against the Raiders because it is only a trial, absolute bull****, that attitude will not win you many games trial or not!

Count me as one of those blokes, I'd be happy if that got rid of scores in trial matches all together.

Can't think of anything worse then us losing a Snowden or a Smith due to busting a gut.

It was quite clear from Brown's comments he has a different view to you Lord, as do I, but each to their own! There is no more chance of a player being injured in a trial than there is in round 1-26. If you are selected to play, you play with the required intensity, from my experience injuries are much more likely to occur when players are not fully committed to the tackle or the run. in saying that, I hope all players are tuned up and ready to go in round 1! With regards to negativity and peoples different opinions on this forum, and I am only a newby, I love the diversity of characters on here whether I agree or disagree with them!

Mate we all have different oppinions and it would be a sucky place if we all agreed.

Totally agree there... Forums are to put forward your thoughts and opinions not agree or disagree with every one else . I would normally agree that they don't need to go to hard in the trials but this team this year is different and they were told on numerous occasions that brown was using this trial to pick a team and that it was a big deal ....The older guys didn't go hard but the young guys got the message because they did go for it .

The thing here is the coach is the only one who's opinion matters and if he says go hard because I want to see what you've got and you don't , then you should be out of here because you don't give a sxxt .

I don't care if it's a trial or NRL Game or whatever, When they pull on the Red and Blue they should give a s**t and give it everything they have regardless

It's an honour to play for our club and the Jersey means something

I've been going to trials for years, and you never know till the game starts if anyone is having a serious go, and sometimes it's even obvious the coach is only trying out combinations he might use later in the year.
Some players, like Boyd and MacDougall, flat out refused to play in trials, and under Wayne almost all the senior players either didn't play or only played short minutes.

I don't know why people are suddenly deciding trials are a serious thing. The results have been meaningless for as long as I can remember, and all that matters is which combinations seemed to work and which young players seemed up to standard, and on those grounds, we saw some great combinations between Hodko and Feeney in particular, and we saw some guys like Pauli Pauli, Randell, Lamb, Pat Mat and Daniel Saifiti step up.
I thought it was a good trial, and took nothing from the form of Snowy, Stockdale, Sims and Rochow, who were all just having a training run and trying to not get injured - as senior players have been doing in our trials since the days of Brian Smith.

Considering the defensive frailties of the team in recent years, having 34 points put on you in 30 minutes is very bad! I have heard several players talking about the changes in defensive structure and attitude under Brown, and I am sure that he would have wanted those things put into practice in the trial. If the coach had concerns about certain players getting injured he wouldn't have played them, if you are named you put in! As a player you want to know you have done everything right before you run onto the field in round 1, and getting steamrolled through the middle of the ruck is not a nice feeling 2 weeks out from the start of the comp. In saying that I hope all the players got what they needed out of the game and hit the ground running against the Titans!

Tariq is the Knights representative at the season launch. Every other team except Brisbane sent their real captain so pretty good indicator Tariq will be captain, or at least co-captain.

I really do not think so mullenmagic. Hodko will be our captain and run the plays. More to do with Tariq being available as he has five weeks suspension to do.
