Very sad but he put up a heck of a fight. I first remember him from the 2008 World Cup, England didn’t go too well but I thought he was a really good player based on that. Could never understand why he wasn’t their permanent halfback. He had an all-time great career for Leeds though and has probably done just as much for motor neurone disease awareness since his diagnosis.

Really sad. Watched someone I played cricket with go through it. Watching Kevin Sinfield carry him over the finish line of the marathon brought a tear to my eye. Really showed what he meant to everyone that knew him
