Selectors make seven changes

AUSTRALIA'S selectors have named three debutants in the side to play New Zealand in the Centenary Test at the SCG on May 9, with Melbourne full-back Billy Slater, North Queensland prop Carl Webb and Cronulla lock Paul Gallen to run on for the first time.
Slater and Gallen, who was picked for the end-of-season Test against New Zealand last year but had to withdraw with a shoulder injury, will start in the side to be captained by Brisbane five-eighth Darren Lockyer, at full-back and in the second row respectively, while Webb will play from the interchange bench.
Lockyer and Gallen have each been included despite playing only limited football in 2008.
Lockyer has played just four NRL games this year, and only one full 80-minute game, against South Sydney last Friday, as he returns from a knee reconstruction, while Gallen missed three weeks with a contrary conduct suspension.
Australia's selectors have made seven changes from the side that annihilated the Kiwis 58-0 last year, with Lockyer, Slater, Gallen, Webb, Justin Hodges, Johnathan Thurston and Anthony Tupou added to the team.
Lockyer, Hodges and Thurston all missed last year's end-of-season Test, with respective knee, hamstring and shoulder injuries, and they were always going to be reinstated to the team when fit.
Manly full-back Brett Stewart, Parramatta winger Jarryd Hayne and forward Nathan Hindmarsh, Melbourne half-back Cooper Cronk, lock Dallas Johnson and second row Michael Crocker were omitted from the side, while Warriors prop Steve Price was unavailable due to injury.

Its time aswell. Guys like Laffranchi & Hoffman are overtaking him and Ryan.
Chris Lawrence... Im still dumbfounded.
Rooney > Lawrence? WTF
OMG, Brent Kite, starting prop. That's a joke. He is playing crap. And Carl Webb hasn't been playing good footy ever. It sucks that Prince mist out. God I am so mad with these teams. And unlucky for Patto, I thought he should have got a bench spot. Good to see Cross in there, if he had more time he would have been starting prop. Bedsy will soon take over Cam Smith, he should be hooker at the moment but he will get it for the world cup. He is playing much better.
The country team are going to blow the city team away. How are Hughes and Hodgeson in the city team? And Luke Roony is playing absolutely woeful, I think Lawrence should be city and NSW.
NSW Country have been dealt a triple blow with star backs Brett Stewart, Jamie Lyon and Matt Cooper all ruled out of Friday night's clash with City.
Fullback Stewart (calf), and the centre pairing of Lyon (personal reasons) and Cooper (back) were all scratched at this morning's medical.
Cronulla's Brett Kearney moves from the bench to fullback while Joel Monaghan shifts from the wing to the centres.
His centre partner will be North Queensland's Ben Harris.
The Sydney Roosters' Amos Roberts comes into the side on the wing while St George Illawarra utility Ben Hornby comes onto the bench.
Prop Jason King has been ruled out for city.
The Manly front-rower was scratched at this morning's medical with an ankle injury suffered in Saturday's win over the Bulldogs.
Parramatta's Chad Robinson has been called into the squad with a decision yet to be made on who will replace King in the run-on side.
