Another part of the article talks about POV potentially being poached by the Broncos and says no one is saying if it is happening or not.
Well Best has had an upgraded offer by the club, lets see if he takes it with a real chance of winning a premiership or if he goes and chases the money.

Schiller is the Forrest Gump of Newcastle, however there is a very good footballer in there but he sometimes plays like he has feet for hands. He would kill it in super league.

Here - $440 post tax, chance to win premierships with a team on the up. You’re getting an origin look in and Australia look in playing for this club with players that can bring out your best.
Eels - $550k post tax , new club, unknown proposition, chance to be in a struggling team and limiting your rep chances.
You’d argue he could make a bit of the $100k with representative jerseys over the year, plus a premiership ring or 2 over the next few years and legacy as a Knights great would certainly be a tempting proposition.
Short career, he’s got a family. Not dirty if he leaves, I get it. But I think it’s a bit more complicated than $1M vs $750K.
