Addendum to the above, don't know if it's been mentioned, but Baz said Dane Gagai's agent is looking to find him a Sydney club for 2027, and he thinks Friz is either going to retire or go to play in the Super League...

So I guess that's where the money for Jesse Colquhon would have come from, and where I guess the Barnett money would come from if that happens.
 
Would be great & I don't think them finishing their careers elsewhere would prevent that. Kieran Foran works for Manly now for example.

I didn't mean it has to happen next year, but it would definitely be good for them and the club in the future.

It would be ideal for our future forwards to be mentored by Friz and outside backs by Gags.

Definitely would prefer he retires a Knight.

Also if we actually attack well this season Marzhew will probably score a lot of tries on top of running for 200m+ per game, that will make it really really hard to keep him, someone will come in with a big offer. Would be very handy to still have Gags in that case.

Speaking of retiring a Knight, I can understand the reasoning, but it will be a bit sad to see Brodie go. There was a brief moment when it looked like he was going to be something special. I wonder if Mal gives him a call, given he'll desperately need cheapies with a potentially higher ceiling to flesh out his roster, and whether Brodie is interested in another shot at the Bears.

It would have been awesome to see him make it here but I hope he goes to the bears, gets out of his comfort zone and really focus on his footy and becomes a great player.

Sydney Morning Herald reporting that Josiah Pahulu was offered up by the Storm for Lomax. Given he hasn't played a game for the Storm, and they're looking to offload him already he really can't have impressed in his time there. Looks like we may have dodged a bullet.
