I don't think it's a binary lazy/hard working thing with footy players. Everyone who gets into first grade now worked hard. It's impossible to get there without hard work. I think it's more like there's a continuum, or spectrum, of how hard guys work, but everyone on there has put in a fair bit at least.

Unfortunately for the ones who have the work ethic and commitment of a normal person, they have to compete for spots with and play against a bunch of other guys who are basically psychotic in terms of their competitiveness and work ethic.

You both obviously have no idea what it takes to be a professional athlete and it’s not just something anyone can do. Like I said if it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Let’s just leave it at that before getting into an endless argument

People just ignore they’ve been doing it their whole life pretty much, lol. Not just footy but any sport.
Without any guarantees of being that less then 1% That make it into the pros regardless of talent.

I was very curious to see where he ended up. Think he was probably on overs in 2025 (and arguably his time in Newcastle) for what he contributed and the way his salary was spoken about on here. But the longer he went without a club over the off season made me wonder if we should have offered him something.

But, I assume with Millie due back with Roosters this NRLW season and her media gigs, she takes on “breadwinner” duties and needs to be in Sydney. With their addition of a child, they probably need both of them in the same location as a 4 hour round trip to train or do a media gig is precious time and logistically difficult.

There had been talk of the club being open to keeping him and hethro on minimum contracts but it was shut down by pos

Would have been nice to keep him, seems like a good club man to have.
Happy he gets to continue playing in the NRL he is great to watch

Well I won't defend that incident that took two people to be apart of but I will still say he seems like a good club man and seems to have done more good things than that one bad one, im not there so I don't know its just what I see.

Ancient history gossip mag stuff, I would say he’s grown up a lot since then.

Wish him well at the Bunnies, he was always good for us, but just the amount of injuries in the end meant it was best to move on.

Great news, the best way the Knights can succeed is by developing players within rather buying cast offs from other clubs.
 
The odd thing is we still get a lot of good players from the central coast playing for the Knights and going to Hunter Sports High, and we aren't even counting them.
