Have to think Armstrong is likely the closest we'll get to this, hope he shows it in the second half and eventually forces his way into consideration for the early rounds.

Granted Tuala can finish near the line but he is as lazy as they come and his carries into contact are a bit of a joke.
 
Takes from the first half:
- That left edge Ponga, Best, Marzhew are in sync early.
- That left second row spot is still up for grabs, some bad reads in defence from both Lucas & KPP but its only early so be patient.
- Tuala hasnt cemented his spot yet, pretty lazy first half IMO.
- AOB obviously wanted to get some fitness into our top squad leaving most of them on for the full half.
- Hastings has been poor defensively, Gamble poor attackingly but still get first go at 7 & 6 IMO.
- Saifitis need to pull their fingers out as usual, hopefully it's just early season fitness issues.

All in all its only a trial but im excited to see our young guys in the second half, would love to see Pryce & Ponga be on the field at the same time but dont think thatll happen. If the boys who get a run on the wing have a good second half that wing jersey is still up for grabs. Cant is one to watch, might be a smokey for that second row jersey or the last bench spot.
 
Weird half. Storm taking all there players off at 20 mark kinda made it hard to read as they were super fresh but we kept top 17 on and were bit worn from heat. Still think lads looked steady and ready to wait on there chances and have now pulled it back to 8 points. Prob have big changes now and see what reserves can do.

good summary but dont agree re tuala,thought he had plenty of tough early set carries, comfortable under the high ball and showed he can finish. he will start round 1 imo.
