I don't think it's fair to dismiss people out of hand who want to keep AOB.

Especially when Andrew Johns thinks AOB's done a good job with a poor roster and should stay. Although we're mostly leaning toward sacking him, there are good arguments both ways.

There's nothing to say that if the club sacks AOB, we won't be back here in 18 months.

And let's face it, if the Knights' brains trust decided to sign someone from left field like Ron Griffiths, our board would probably approve the signing of Anthony Griffin by mistake. #Hooked

Funny how many/most are critical of media/idiots/experts making claims about what might or might not happen but then reading on here and other sights we are all guilty of the same thing, estimating, guessing, predicting and enhancing the rumours.
Most comments are made against those made earlier and either opposed or for even though there is no basis for truth or origin, still keeps us all reading if not believing

You forget your statement. "The majority of people in this forum want O'Brien sacked". This forum consists of nearly 2,000 members. You have 32 people that want O'Brien sacked at this stage. There are 200 people online at present and you still only have 32 votes to sack O'Brien. You have proved nothing. Your outlandish statement is false and using your words. "If you post something that is clearly wrong, someone is going to call you out on that and you should move on". I think it is time you moved on. Yet I must say I have had so much fun today, thank you.
As someone who works with stars all day, this point of valid. I think we need a new poll to decide if the results of this poll are valid or not.

Stars, do tell. Anyone we would know?

What's the connection, do famous people want AOB fired or not.

i just want knights to bring back that one town team playing hard for the Jersey like their lives are on the line, like it use to be.
Im frustrated how over a decade we cant get anywhere near a top 4 and fun finals games to watch. Its kinda why ive stayed away from the forums lately.
Then you have teams like bulldogs etc that just improve after some bad years.

Good to see you back here!

When the Knights got admitted to the competition, we thought we would get a team of mostly locals who would be proud to represent the Newcastle region and would play a hard spirited game. That was the case up until Joey retired and then the team started to lose it’s way.

We really have not been a serious premiership contender since then. Some players such as Korbin Sims considered playing at Newcastle to be “serial loafing”.

We have to try to rebuild the culture at the Knights to get back to where we were in the early years, obviously this will take time.

To his credit the culture has improved under AOB and you can see this in our defence. However, we need a fresh coach who can improve our attack, continue the development of our younger players and also try to improve the culture at the same time.

I've always said the same thing.
A million dollar job demands you deliver results or get fired.
Every coach deserves a free go for the first year.
The second year they need to at least look like they are moving in the right direction. O'Brien gets a tick for that.
Third year you should be close to being in the mix for a title. Tick, sort of.
After that, if you aren't in the premiership race - time to pack your bags and let the next guy who can convince us he is worth a million a year have a shot.
Absolutely fair and true.

We're a competitive sporting organisation not Centrelink.

You and 45 of your mates is not a majority in a 2000 member forum. So just except, your statement was outlandish and let it go.
