Phoenix Crossland as potential co captain.

We already have an inflated leadership group by the sounds of it. But perhaps one day, and he needs to lock down a position, not much point having a co captain that ends up coming off the bench.

It's hard to say from the out side looking in, it would depend on what his team mates think of him.

But if you want to set a good example, it would be hard to find someone that works harder than Crossland.

maybe needs to lock down a set position and role in the team.
True I think He is doing great at 7

He looks like a pretty established 7. If I'm Adam O'Brien I'm locking in Phoenix Crossland for 7.

I like Crossland over Brailey

As much as I honestly believe he is clearly (and unfairly) singled out by referees (where others get a 'free ride'), I think he would need to work harder on making sure he isn't spending regular time in the bin/giving away multiple penalties/6 agains during a game to be seen in a co-captain's role....very fine line but he needs to clean that up if he is to be seen as a leadership option

He should be a co captain as he continually leads by example, more so than some of our more fancied players. I reckon he gets pinged more than the rest of the team is because he is always the first off the line in defence and as a result is left high and dry by his less enthusiastic team mates.

A bit rough on Gids to act like he was a low talent trier. He had a very dangerous running game, he wasn’t a KP but there were plenty of times Kurt was able to create something when there was very little on.

I dont really like the co captain but he isn't the worst option we have although he still a few years off Captain in my eyes
Who would be the worst?

Fair enough dude also Leo Thompson too head highs damn...

Agreed He gives off leadership vibes. This is also more important now that He is playing 1/2 Back although in say ing that might not wanna overload Him with responsibilities yet.

He's starting to give off Kurt Gidley vibes as a guy who never stops trying.
Kurt became a good captain when he became one of the senior players.
Agreed I remember in 2022 when most People wanted Him gone but look where He is now miles away from 2022 form.

If crossland had a quarter of gids talent we'd be in a good spot.
Well He has a better record in regards to less injuries that is a positive.

Gids turned into a great player, but for his first 3 or 4 years all he had going for him was effort and fitness - which sounds like someone else we know.
Absolutely :)

Yeah also I saw a highlight video where He pushed over from 5 cm away to score dragging a bunch of Cowboys players on Him :)

Agree that he needs to cement a spot in the side. I still think the spot we've seen him play best in is that bench middle role.

The fact we're looking for a new halfback and we've just signed a young hooker doesn't bode too well for him in those positions.

I remember him as an error factory in his early years, especially when under pressure. He kept working till he got that out of his game.
