Telegraph are reporting the Dragons have approached Parr in the wake of their CEO stepping down. No indication of what his response was, and there's 2 other names linked, but his is the first name mentioned.

CEO Role is certainly a step up on the corporate ladder...it might be tempting for a person with some aspirations to climb that next wrung?
I get the sense though that he signed up and sees his role here as achieving certain clearly defined goals...and I don't see him looking until he successfully navigates the achievement of those goals.
I think he is a bit old school when it comes to integrity and he is one of those 'my word is my bond' types, which is great for us

Article in the Herald (titled "For Pete's Sake!), says he is seen asin line to take over from Gardener as CEO. Maybe Gardener will finally cut the cord so we can keep him.

Gardiner needs to step aside and just concentrate on Wests. He was only meant to be in the role temporarily anyway.
The Knights should have their own CEO just like every other NRL club. Give the job to Parr. They can’t afford to lose him to another club because of Gardiner’s ego. Parr would still be answerable to Gardiner and the Wests board.
Parr can employ a Football General Manager to take over his role. Maybe someone younger he can mentor, who can stay in the role long term.

Is he unhappy at the Knights or simply looking at a step up the career ladder elsewhere? Buzz will never miss a possible chance to stick the boot into Gardner so who knows.

What general manager finds any relationship with a ceo smooth sailing. I’m sorry this is not how organisations work. Phill Gardiner is employed by the board as the CEO.
A CEO’s role is to deliver the strategy of the board mainly making sure the organisation is solvent. Operations in this case is why Peter parr is employed. Phill’s role is purely to ensure the club is in the green. P brains like buzz actually have zero idea.

GM and CEO's relationships are never smooth sailing but I'm still worried about Gardner trying to sabotage any sort of success.

Gardner needs to go for the betterment of the club.
We have seen multiple staff leave the club and the rumblings coming back are it was due to difficulty working with Phill.
Just because a CEO's role is one thing, doesn't mean he isn't sticking his nose in all over the place trying to run every aspect and making life difficult in other areas, and then we have the matter of Phill's mate that has no official role but hangs around sticking his nose in and making waves that has been reported in the past.
If Parr leaves that's another and taken singularly you might not think there is an issue but looking overall there certainly appears to be a conflict with Gardner.

Yes if he actually stuck to the CEO role I don’t think there’d be a problem, he’s clearly good at running the financial side of things. It’s everything else he thinks he’s good at which is the problem, he shouldn’t involve himself in the dirty side of things and clearly it has annoyed others at the club.

Role confusion is a major element of unsuccessful organisations.
Gardner doesn’t own anything, but he thinks he knows better.
The term of failure as a football team looks likely to continue until he stays in his lane and buys out of everything else.
