Peter O'Sullivan Appreciation thread

[Grandpa Joe]

Personally I think Pezet will end up being a “never was” but time will tell

He does have the Beau Henry’s about him.

Gagai and DeCourcey signing at the Broncos seemed pretty random at the time.
Just saying.

Not really regarding gagai. He’s from QLD and debuted for the broncos so has ties to the state and club. Plus broncs lost a lot of experience and needed old head

[Die Hard]

I wonder if POS comes for anyone currently in our top 30 or our current junior system?

He was pretty quick to set the example by poaching Kingston Seve from the Fins as one of his first signings.

Wonder if Seve being released to QLD was a trick by O'Sullivan

I don't think so, he wasn't well liked around the club.

[Wicket]

Wasn’t there rumours about Seve having an attitude problem, a lack of application

Also De Courcey wasn’t wanted by us, we pulled our offer after he stank it up and got hooked. I wouldn’t be surprised if POS offloaded him as soon as he gets to Brisbane

[Celticman98]

I'd rather have Howe than Fulton as the next recruitment manager out of those two.

Titans have been a mess for a long time before Howe was there and Manly fans couldn't wait to see the back of Scott Fulton and was disastrous at the Tigers in his 5 minutes there.

Didnt howe build the perth roster and get booted already?

He got booted before they could even sign players.

Dane Campbell is their recruitment manager.

We should try to get Dane Campbell - as part of my plan to have a former Knights halfback in every position at the club.

Dane has spent years being a great promoter of the game across the globe. Great guy.

[Les Misérables]

We seemed to have re-signed 5 juniors in the space of the last week since Sully left. All 15-17 yo.

Smart and proactive from the club. Really like it. These kids would be some of the low hanging fruit Sully would come for sooner than later

Genuine question

Does POS pick through the juniors or raid the previous clubs top 30 squads that he’s been at

I know when he came here he brought Seve, Graham and Sullivan from the Dolphins. Graham and Sullivan were not wanted/needed at the Dolphins. I can’t remember if there was any others

Did he take players from the Warriors to the Dolphins?

Sullivan came from the Cowboys.

Sullivan came from the Cowboys.

Oh ok, my mistake

Thanks
