Patto being chased by NFL.

Good to know man, as I'm a huge Steelers fan also. They play 16 games a season over there, and I think I got to watch them play like 8 times, which I was pretty happy about.

Actually 9 times, as they made it to the play offs though got knocked out week 1. I think down here in Australia they show like 4 games a week when it's the regular season, though when the play offs are on they show every game which is good.

Apparently that's set to increase. Ten has secured some games for Ten HD from next season so I've heard.

As for Patto leaving for the NFL...I hope he doesn't. I'd like him to be a cornerstone for the team in the years ahead.

That's great news for NFL fans down here in Australia, as the more games they show the better IMO. I really hope ESPN shows the NFL Draft this year though, which will take place in just over a month, as I don't believe they've ever shown it down here before. They show it on ESPN over there, though down here ESPN has never shown it before. I really hope that changes this year.

Also, I agree about Patto. I hope he stays with the Knights and finishes his career with the Knights, as I also want him to be a cornerstone of this team in the years ahead.

Anyone know how far he can kick a goal from on a League field. I wonder if he could beat AJ's performance when he kicked one from halfway.

Only thing different is that they use different balls and dont have tees when taking FGs (can use them for kickoffs), they have holders instead.

Yeh they were talking bout him on ABC, that he was being targeted as a punter as he can kick it 50m, whereas the best over there can only kick it aroud 36m

*yawn* boring! The Draft is boring, just tell me the end result lol. I am a Pats fan.

As for Pato, in an RLW interview last year pato says that he never wants to suit up in another teams colours etc and that he wants to be a knight for life. I guess the Patriots fit into that nicely with the colours lol but I hope he sticks to the Knights!
:p

You gotta think though, the NFL gets a lot more dollars then the NRL does.

I would hate to see patto go the NFL. Hope he stays with us.

God talk about easy money he should go when he retires fom league there's a former afl player playing and if he signed with the Colts that would be awesome

There is two former gayfl players over there and there has been others in the past.

I think I heard about that former AFL guy in a big-hits video on youtube. His helmet got smashed right off his head or something.

Yeh Rocca plays for Philly, his brother still plays in the AFL over here for the magpies, I think the other one is Ben Graham, plays for th NY Jets

Yep, also Darren Bennett played for West Coast and Melb Demons over here and then went to NFL to play for the Vikings and someone else, is now retired though.

He would get paid about $1mill a season minimum, depends what he is playing as.

rookies minimum wage is around $400,000 american. Kickers are the lowest paid position on a team (generally). I'd want Pato as a tight end, not a kicker...thats a waste!

around 43 m is the average.and the balls are different. Kicking is compared to a footy ball is different i rekon

He would get paid $1mill, now stop commenting on something you know little about.

Just because the minimum rookie wage is $400,000 does not mean that's how much he will earn.

Besides he won't be going, every couple of years the media beats up some story about NRL players being chased by NFL teams ala Willie Mason.
