Cheika with Hagan as an adviser and Green and Dobson and Andrew Ryan as assistant coaches would work for me - as long as it was only a short contract.
That would shake up the place.

There’s at least 2 people in that scenario that shouldn’t be anywhere near those positions.

Clean slate please from the ground up.

Winning starts in the front office and losing that considerably.

Gardner, AOB are gone but so should Green and McDermott.

Being popular with the players shouldn't justify a chance to be the new head coach and McDermott's defence regime has gotten backwards in the last few weeks.

New head of performance and sports psychologist also clearly needed.

Out of nowhere, for no reason. A completely full strength team for which the season has been going so well!

He's not fkn wrong though, we've been **** and he's paid for his commentary, analysis and opinion. SO what's the damn issue, we have been **** and he's stating the truth, maybe his honesty will be the wake up call some of our squad needs!

My updated coaching list...
Head Coach: Justin Holbrook or Micheal Cheika
Assistant Defence: Brian McDermott
Assistant Attack: James Maloney
Consultants: Mick Ennis & Steve Simpson

that's a coaching staff of 5 people with 3 being ex-newy, keep Green and Dobson running pathways and that takes 5 of our 7 as ex-newy
Nah, Ennis is intentionally and unprofessionally negative towards the Knights. Other commentators are professional in their criticism and not complete flogs. With the exception of Warren Smith.

I agree on the clean slate for the entire coaching department

In saying that, I wouldn’t blame McDermott for the drop off in defence, the players clearly have given up a few weeks ago

It feels like Willie Peters is the coach we should chase after, problem is he won’t apply, well not until the Super League season is finished

Holbrook would be my next option

A lot will depend on who they want and who they can get as assistant coaches

A big change in attitude is required from the playing group

My issue with today’s result is there wasn’t any pride in the players performance. If they cared they wouldn’t have let 66 points get scored on them.

That is utterly embarrassing, to put it politely

I don’t care how much you hate your coach or how bad your coach is, you should have way more pride and respect in yourself, your club and your fans to put in such a limp performance/effort (as a collective group, not all of the players, some players tried their guts out)

One thing it confirms for me is Green should not be the head coach. He shouldn’t even be the assistant for us any more.

If the players wanted Green as coach, surely they can understand putting in an effort like today is detrimental to Green’s chances of becoming the head coach

Agree, its clear we need a clean slate going forward. Green and McDermott need to be moved on and those in more senior positions (Parr, POS etc) read the riot act by the Board. They all played their part in this disaster of a season and it cannot be acceptable. Knights fans have suffered too long and we are once again a laughing stock.

Parr’s being promoted so that’s nice.

He’s overseen quite a lot of ****. Will be interested to see what difference Gardiner being out the way makes but I suspect not that much
