Old Boys turn back time

Personally I'd like to see more of this, instead of Mini & Mod games all the time.

Robbie O’Davis and Eric Grothe headlined a list of former stars and retired players in an exhibition game of OzTag at EnergyAustralia Stadium last weekend as a curtain raiser to the Knights v Eels clash.

While most were well past their prime, Robbie O and former Knights flyer, Ashley Gordon kept the crowd entertained while New Zealand International, Craig Smith wouldn’t have looked out of place running on for the main game, looking as fit as he was the day he retired.

1997 Grand Premiership back rower, Troy Fletcher was solid and 90s half back, Darren Ford both displayed signs of their former playing days while Owen Craigie, although a little slower on his feet, still had the class that saw him recognised as one of the most gifted players to don a Knights jersey.

The mini and mod league games will be back at EnergyAustralia Stadium when the Knights return home to play the Rabbitohs on Monday 29 June, 2009.

Was there a player for the eels by the name of .... forget their first name, but last name Jackson?
cause if so he was my science teacher last year, i could have sworn it was him out their & he use to play for the eels.

Interesting that Craig Smith is still going pretty fit... he was the oldest in the NRL in his last season and it would be good to have an old head in our front line.

Edited my post, thanks for the corrections and info guys! Anyone know who the last three are? Two of them definitely look familiar, but I have no idea who the bald guy is.

Oh, just read the article, not sure which one is Darren Ford ... don't think he ever played much first grade?
