I feel like we have the worst front row and worst long kicking game of any team in the comp next year.
 
Eh yeah I mean the same Broncos team that just stormed into the top four concluded their season with 40-6 and 50-12 losses last year. Coincidentally they had their starting 1 and 6 out. Kind of just gave up. Players do that sometimes.

It sucks but it is what it is, all will be forgiven if the effort rises next year and the team goes better.

At least they had a go.
Also some good moments from Croker, Best and Marzhew.
There is a long road ahead, particularly if we choose the wrong(but easy) coach.
Ryles has shown what it takes to turn a club around.

I’ve not seen any of the game mate, but this
gives me see some comfort. It’s hard to find positives in a drubbing like that

You're gonna get a rude shock next season.

The coach defeated the players in the end. We were morbidly competitive at best during AOBs tenure. And when things didnt go our way the wheels always fell off. What we're seeing today was inevitable, we just needed to disassociate a little, after 3 injuries to key players, most clubs absorb it and lack that winning edge, AOBs team meets its mortality.

Never happened under Rick Stone when Gidley and Mullen we out for long periods.

Well folks, I think I’m gonna be taking a long break from the forum and footy related things for a while and focus my energy on other things. This sport and team has done all it can to mess with my mental health and I can’t pour my energy into it for the foreseeable future.

Thanks @jamesgould for what you do for this forum (and I sincerely apologise for the horrific outburst of emotion I’ve done on here since 2010 😂). Hopefully everyone has a good rest of their 2025 and has a safe and happy Christmas and New Years.

So will I and every other fan that's had to suffer watching that ****ing embarrassment run out every week, throwing them one off the ruck and get murdered, hoping that Ponga was gonna beat his man and set us up a try when we telegraphed our block play out the back to him.

Cannot wait to watch them play like every other team in the comp, actually play football.

I think we have hit rock bottom and this site will be much more positive as things start to turn around.

When our new head coach is appointed and new players start arriving at pre-season training, these will be tangible signs that the turnaround has started.
 
The NRL app has us in 16th spot lol.

Most will have us coming last next season, but I think we will be competitive. Mooney looked great today, he will only get better the more minutes you get into him. Ponga, Sharpe, Lucas can’t get much more class than that returning next season. Ponga really needs an injury free season and he needs to be playing good footy.

You never hear much positive around Brown coming to us, but it’s a fact that he’s still a classy player and way better than Cogger/Gamble/Arthur.

If we can ignite our attack we will have a good season next year. Our defense is still solid imo, we just unfortunately gave up when our best players went down and there was nothing to play for. I can’t wait to see how the boys perform in Vegas.
 
Not a good season, very poor end game, thrashed but the ever optimist in me says better days ahead, only one way and that’s UP after “THE SPOON”
Like to see ESL, MCEwen and Hopwood have most of next season in Cup to make them more ready for 1sts.
Need to fix spine, need more than Brown

Not really seeing it with our recruitment efforts. Forwards are still very weak.
 
I'm beginning to think even bellyache couldn't turn this club around. Regardless of whoever the coach is next year there were a lot of players out there today that really aren't up to NRL standard and I guess we are heading into yet another rebuilding phase.
