Kaufusi to debut for Knights

The Newcastle Knights new recruit Antonio Kaufusi is set to debut for his new club when the Knights take on the Sharks this Sunday afternoon at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

Coach Rick Stone spoke to Knights TV about the upcoming match and Kaufusi's debut.

"I'm keen to see Antonio play, he has shown us a little bit at training since he has been here," Coach Stone said.

"He has got some size and some speed and some skill so he is going to add another dimension to our pack.

"I'm sure he is looking forward to doing his best for his first game for the new club as well."

Not a bad side. Hopefully Gids can do well after backing up from Origin. I am looking forward to seeing how Kaufusi goes in his first game for the Knights. This side can definitely to win by about 20+ if they play to their potential on Sunday.
 
Great looking line up!,I look forward too seeing Kaufusi run around for the first time in a Knights jersey.
 
Edwards out is fail! He is a good young player, dropping him for Wes? God dam Stone. Bench does look extremely weak though.
 
Top looking team there! Unlucky for guys like Mika and Edwards though. Hilder should be starting for Taufua.
 
kaufusi needs this chance, hes been out in the cold at NQ for a while and throwing him straight back into should show him we have confidence in him, in turn giving him confidence in himself, he once was one of the top 5 props in the comp and im sure he can get back up there give him 4 games and ull see constant improvements

NO Edwards is a bit of a shame hes been going really well maybe next week

Mikas dropping in understandable he did look a little out of his depth last game, hes young and hes learning

Hilder not starting is a bit different but i guess we will have size form the start and hilder will come on the tighten up the ruck.

Wes on the bench again!, guess id rather him over vuna there due to his proven utility

I think we should have this game by 8-16 points sharkies got there 3 leaders out/backing up so knights forwards should be to strong giving the backs a good platform put on some points. Timmy Smith needs to be kept under constant pressure, stick patto near him :P
 
We'll blitz them! Antonio Kaufusi will have alot to prove, not only to the Cowboys who released him but also to himself. I'm saying he'll come out and show alot of passion and agression and have a blinder.

In regards to Hilder off the bench, I think it's madness. Mark is a great player but what we need is Hilders huge defensive effort in a game that boasts monsters like Snowden and Douglas. Our boys will tire faster and we'll most likely be caught out at marker.

Mika and Edwards have had a decent run and they both know what to expect now in the top grade. Give them a week or two to get the body right and I'll say they'll be back.

With that aside I'm brimming with confidence but I am before every game. Let's gut these Sharks and grab the two points!
