I reckon the latter...It will be interesting to see if they buy a replacement or bring Meaney, Phyphian or Hughes into the backline.

Ross or SKD at Center?Pete was already out of the side next year. Ponga, Sio, Moga, SKD & Ross would have been ahead of him I'd imagine.
Ross or SKD at Center?
Neither I reckon if fit:Ross or SKD at Center?
They're trying to buy a new one...?
I like the idea of Phythian as a ball playing centre. would be like how they use an inside centre in union a 2nd 5/8Neither I reckon if fit:
1. Ponga
2. Ross
3. Pythian
4. Moga
5. SKD

I'm disappointed the Club hasn't made Elliot some kind of offer. Not because he's the next Reg Gasnier. "Plenty of tomorrows" is a term this Club was built on. At 23 Elliot fits the bill. He was bagged mercilessly last year and on face value appeared to be 100% plodder. He's reported to have trained the house down like most of them and improved his game to the point that he wasn't getting bagged in fact he was quite often praised. I think it would send a positive message to other borderline first graders that if you're prepared to work hard you'll get an opportunity. Elliot's entitled to consider himself unlucky not to have been thrown a bone.We should save the trouble & just keep Elliot on as a reserve grade centre. We gave Pete an offer, he thought he could do better so left, fair enough. But apparently we haven't even offered Elliot a deal at all? I'm sure there's a solid chance he'd stick around.
Didnt they just renew it?Following on from the above comment the next question regarding incentive for hard work is:
With Pete out the door after this season and Pat and Chanel next year, if Sione isn't getting a run with the quality of new blood coming in, can we expect him to follow suit when his contract is up?
I thought I read somewhere that we were trying to extend Sione for a bit...I think Chanel, Pat and Sione are all off contract next year
All I know is the 3 of them re-signed in early 2015 on 3 year deals which would take them through to the end of 2018I thought I read somewhere that we were trying to extend Sione for a bit...

Maybe a reserve grade centre. Say SKD & Moga are our centres, if one goes down we'll have to makeshift a new centre out of the likes of Sione, Ross, Chanel, Denniss & Tom Hughes. None of them are really a regular centre.

Beale isn't a reserve grade centre.
