Official: Knights sign Connor Watson on a 3 year deal

Brown has already publicly said Watson is the running five-eighth we've been looking for after missing out on Bird. We know he's going to play there, that doesn't mean throughout the season his versatility might not be needed. If we are a fullback or hooker down, he would make an excellent replacement.

If round 1 we don't see Watson 6, Lamb 7 I will be convinced Brown has no clue what he is doing and how to coach.

Hodkinson barring injury, should not see NRL first grade again.

I'm not going to rule it out, Hokko & Browny seemed to make up in the second half of the season. Lamb is young & Browny might convince him that the best thing for his development is to kill it in Cup for a while before Hokko eventually falls away again.

Can we afford to play Hodkinson and let him play until his form gets bad enough to drop him? Imho not if we have any designs on avoiding another spoon.

Far better to go with lamb and watson and have Hodkinson in the wings if needed.

Injuries aside, 7 & 6, Lamb and Watson, Lamb deserves his spot, played very well all year with a non dominant pack, 2018, Dan, Esee'ese, Lillyman, Jacob etc Lamb has earned first option alongside Watson. Hodko in Res. unless injury but Cogger seriously considered.
