For mine Tupou will offer the same as Korbin but for a third of the price
Tupou on a one year contract and then get Hoffman for next year
Departing Warrior Ryan Hoffman admits to being "very disappointed" upon hearing that 2017 was going to be his last year at the NRL club - and says he still has a lot to offer the game.
Hoffman captained the Warriors in 2016 but has been informed by new coach Steven Kearney that his services won't be required beyond this year.
Well his done nothing over there to be frank.
Cant say I paid too much attention to the Warriors last year. Cant be any worse than signing Tupou
Not keen on Hoffman at all.
Hoffman would be a better singing than Tupou that's for sure.
His stats are still ok. Great leader and plenty of experience.

Interview with Anthony
nice to know we werent the last chance saloon and he had other offers but chose to come back to Newcastle...
Hoffman would be a waste of coin from the amount he'd want and Tupou comes cheap.
We need leaders but only in positions of need and ideally not on biggish coin unless they are quality.
I didn't say we should throw the kitchen sink at him.
If the price is right, he would be a good signing for us.
Tupou is a nothing signing.
Hoffman would want decent coin you'd think. Rep for him looks to be over so the $$$ should go down a bit I suppose, but I just don't think he'd give us much value for money. Our starting backrow of Barnett, Buhrer and Sione I'm really happy with and I don't see a reason to break that up. If a guy like Buhrer continues with injuries then I would be more keen on Hoffman then, but for now I think an experienced prop would be more beneficial from a playing POV (Matt Scott, even for a bit of overs would be a great pickup).
