Off contract options

3yr deals for the morris twins lol
Josh is injury prone now and they are 32yrs old
Pass

Are you serious they are that old? I thought like 29, yeah maybe 2 years with 2nd year in our favour than.

No 2 ways we'll need plenty more backs to replace Sione, possibly Ross and to cover for Moga as well.

Apparently Meaney is attracting plenty of interest elsewhere.

Think we should look to getting the right type with potential and develop the likes of Johns or look at the halves in U20's who have played last and this season so if any good should be close to ready by years end.
Let's not forget that Lamb has potential.

Not a fan of Meaney, and Matt Cooper and Tex Hoy are both going great.
Having said that, we need wingers bad, and if Meaney played a bit of wing he would be handy - tall, fast, safe under the high ball.

Cooper is probably too small. Tex sounds like a spine player. I wasn't sure how far off or young our junior halves were, but with Loughrey in reserve grade, Tex in 20s, maybe we do have some options if Lamb leaves, even if they are very inexperienced.

I think the next real quality half to come through is Pheonix Crossland. He was named in NSW under 18s pathways, and played under 16s in 2016, but he played all our Ball season with a shoulder injury, and i'll be surprized if he isn't getting that fixed about now.
Anyway, he is a decent size, athletic, and has all the skills. His halves partner, Jock Madden, is also a smart and talented guy, but very small and might struggle in higher grades.
Crossland will be 18/19 next year and seems to have it all. He is an automatic selection for NSW if fit.

Matt Cooper made his reserve grade debut in our very close game against top of the table Wests a few weeks ago. Against the very good Wests attack he made 8 tackles and missed 1 as a fullback. You'd have to see the game to see if it was as impressive as those stats seem to say, but he seems to be defending pretty strongly. He is almost exactly the same age and size as Ponga, so if he's strong enough, he's big enough.

Josh Mansour is off contract.
IMO one of the best wingers in the game.
Though he does spend alot of time on the side lines.
Would be work talking to.

Also all 3 Jennings brothers are off contract, Michael has an option in his favour.

Michael Jennings mentioned that the three brothers want to all play together at some point, can’t see how we could them all in though.

Surprised Billy doesn’t like Meaney from what I’ve seen he’s a gun

Would it be another case of signing all four Mat brothers as a sweetener for Sione and a gamble on their potential?

Although at the back end of his career, Michael Jennings is still one of the best centres getting around. Don't know enough about his brothers, how do they go?
Considering the amount of cap space we have, signing all three to lure Michael to fill one of our biggest weaknesses isn't going to hurt us.

Wants $400k, No winger should be on more than $250k and that's origin Wingers.

Even Aku?

Someone decided he was a steal at $500k

Before Bennett tried to turn him into a footballer he was, top try scorer and not out of place in rep jerseys. After Bennett tried to teach him about Football instead of letting him just run hard and upset him he wasn't worth a pie and chips.

Where are you pulling those numbers from? $250K for Origin wingers? Lol c’mon. Wingers are very important nowadays, arguably more so than centres now. They need to be good/safe under the high ball, be good finishers, make good reads in defence, start your sets off on the right foot, etc. The best wingers in the game today are easily worth $500K+ IMO.
