Newtoen got off to a big start and were 10-0 up pretty quickly, but the Centurians, led by good work by Dureau and Ndaira mostly, hit back and ran up a decent lead till about 10 minutes into the second half they ran out all the bench kids and gave away 3 soft tries to let the Jets back into the game. From then on it was try for try, but the jets had more gas in the tank, depite us coming very close a few times in the last 5 minutes to pinching the game.

Lulia had a bad case of the dropsies.
Dureau did some brilliant things and some stupid things.
Naiqama and Fawcett both scored, along with Boss - can't remember the others, but Ndaira only missed one of 6 kicks.

Like every week, having the forwards who can't make NYC on the bench is our downfall.

Thanks for the recap
Its interesting how NYC is regarded as better than reserves!
Do like our NYC forward pack however

Windsor are placed fourth but I don't see why the Centurions can't win. We have a bit of experience in the side and the team is in good form.

I actually had a dream that the Centurions scored a 44-12 upset victory .

This is the match preview from www.nswrl.com.au

Central Coast Centurions Vs Windsor Wolves
Morrie Breen Oval, Saturday, July 10
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Adam Devcich
Broadcast: Hawkesbury Radio 89.9FM (Link available via www.nswrl.com.au’s Weekend Game-Cast)

The Centurions will look to put the disappointment of their loss to the Jets behind them when they welcome an inform Windsor Wolves side to Morrie Breen Oval this Saturday. After having looked much the better side for most of their encounter with the Blue Bags at Henson Park a fortnight ago, a poor last twenty minutes let the Jets off the hook as they went down 38-34. The Wolves have won their last four and looked to have arrested a mini form slump of sorts that saw them lose to the Bears and also held to a draw by Wentworthville, both matches they would have expected full competition points from. The Windsor halves combination of Craig Trindall and Joseph Paulo looks to have settled nicely while Dave Simmons and Sandor Earl return to the Wolves after starring for the Panthers in their victory over the Dragons on Monday night. The Centurions look to field one of their strongest line ups of the year, with NRL regulars Scott Dureau, Keith Lulia and Cooper Vuna all named to tackle the Wolves while Kevin Naiqama should still be on cloud nine after scoring a vital try for the NSW Residents on Wednesday evening. The ladder would suggest that the Wolves should win this match but the Centurions are more than capable of springing the upset if they play their best football.

Centurions vs Auckland this weeekend. Auckland are only one place above us on the ladder.

Game is in Auckland.

The Auckland Vulcans failed to fire in their game against the Central Coast Centurions at Mt Smart Stadium # 2 on Saturday. Leading 14-10 at half time the Centurions went on to beat the Vulcans 38-16 in a stop-start event.

Central Coast Centurions 38 (Filipo 2, Hunt 2, Dureau, Naiqama, Ndaira tries; Ndaira 3, Dureau 2 goals)
Auckland Vulcans 16 (Inu, Taka, Tuinavau tries; Matthews 2 goals)

Good win for the Centurions. Does anybody know how Dureau and the other first graders went?

Well considering it was in NZ and no media coverage I highly doubt it. But judging by the scorecard it must have been abit of a field day. Vulcans aren't doing too well in NSW Cup either.
